"Near perfect car"
Pros: Good power, nav display is nice. Interior is well done and the ride is a good mix of sport vs luxury
Cons: Seat heaters don't reset when you turn off the car, no tilting side mirrors in reverse. Outside metallic trim around the windows oxidize
Summary: I've really enjoyed the good power, the highway ride, and surprisingly - the gas mileage, especially from a V8. I don't know what kind of lead feet the CNet reviewers have but I get right around 25 MPG combined. On my 35 mile commute (all highway) I consistently get 29 MPG. The only reasons I don't give this car a full 5 stars is because I miss the tilting side mirrors that I've had in the past when I go in reverse. This is especially handy when parallel parking because it allows you to see the curb and avoid rubbing your wheels. Another annoyance is the seat heaters which don't default to "off" when you park and leave. If you park with the seat heaters on, then they are still at the same setting when you get back to your car. Just my personal preference to have them default to off every time I shut off the engine. The window trim on my car has also oxidized and is now white as opposed to having the brushed stainless steel finish it had when new.
Cabin tech works well. Slightly more convenient than the BMW system but still not completely intuitive. Scrolling across the map to find and route to an intersection is extremely tedious as is manually entering an address. The voice command is also not intuitive so I never use it. I don't think it's possible to use voice command to enter an address which would be a great feature. Bluetooth is easy to use. Callers do know that I'm on a speaker phone however and is much noisier than the system in my Chrysler 300 SRT8.
There are 50k miles on my car now and everything still works without any replacement or repair. Little things like electric folding mirrors, steering wheel heater, power rear window shade... things that I've had break on me in past cars over time. Not a big deal but annoying when they don't work properly.
Bottom line - would I buy this car again? Yes. If I could find a comparably priced Benz E550 4matic then I'd make the switch. Otherwise I'd stick with the Audi.
