"Nice kids car"on by SuperGeek81
Pros its "sporty" looking
the seats are comfortable
its quiet (until vtec)
its engine is very well refined and balanced
MPG was great for a 200hp car
Cons Insurance was higher on my 07 SI then it is on my 09 Roush mustang
The stick shift sucks,
The clutch is not designed well
the interior in the coupe has major blind spots
rides like a skateboard (doesnt handle well enough for the ride quality)
Summary Its a nice looking car, its good on gas, and sporty, but it lacks in a lot of area's in comparison to the earlier 2000 SI models. It is heavy, it rides very rough (choppy) it handles well, but not good enough to compensate for the choppy ride. The insurance cost of the car is insane, my 439hp mustang is cheaper to insure.
Bottom line, it is a nice boy racer car, but once you hit 30 you wont like it.
Pros Good price for performance, great engine, 4 doors, nice looking.
Cons Not as good on gas as the regular Civic, fog lights not include.
Summary The Si, is what a pure fun small car is meant to be, I have had this car just for 5 weeks and I’m really looking forward to drive it everyday, it takes some effort to get those near 200 horsepower then again that’s what makes it fun, the trick is to avoid a speeding ticket while doing it.
I’m back to my teenager years when I’m driving this rocket pocket to its maximum.
Pros Sporty, high tech, good design, attractive
Cons Single CD only, no bluetooth, no smart key, no leather
Summary This is an eye catching car from the outside that is more exhilarating once you climb in. High qulaity embroidered cloth (no option for leather) with race car hints, 6 speed manual transmission an exclusive touch. 17' Alloy wheels, moon roof and spoiler standard. Attractive underbody spoilers available at near $1300. Horse power about 200 but with cost in gas mileage 19-20/gallon with our use, much lower than typical Honda. First year Honda offers Si with 4 door/sedan style and only 12,000 made - collector item?
For the luxury minded most features standard: Versatile navigation unit with large touch screen color display, Voice command, controls on steering wheel, XM satellite radio, IPod adaptor interacts with screen, Aux input for other MP3 users, PC card?, premium audio with subwoofer, seductive power open screen reveals hiden CD/PC/Navi access, external temp, oil life, and more. Very smooth drive, vehicle stability on turns, and unaware of high velocity, nothing like other civic driving. Decent space but not roomy. No heated seats, defrosting side view mirrors or smart key options. A steal at about $23,800 with Navigation/Ipod options.
Our biggest complains are that front side bars are extra wide somewhat obstructing view with city turns, all doors auto lock with driving but only driver's door auto unlocks with parking making guests feel trapped. Also, really missing muli in-dash CD, bluetooth, and DVD/entertainment options.
