"Sub par handling with a comfortable interior."
Pros: simple controls, plenty of space
Cons: soft mushy suspension
Summary: The Lexus LS 460L is about as boring as a full size luxury car can be. Its soft mushy suspension delivers sub par handling and its styling is a Mercedes rip off. The cars steering and brakes are not meant for hard driving conditions. The braking system does not stop from high speeds well at all. I can not understand why this car was given a perfect ten. Cars such as the Mercedes S550 and the BMW 750Li are much better. The BMW is the same price with most of the options, and the Mercedes is about ten thousand more. Both of these cars offer far superior handling to the Lexus. Their styling is sporty looking compared to the Lexus's bland boring styling.
The Lexus Ls 460L is basically a car for elderly people that want a luxury car and nothing more. To me it seems as if Lexus has
rated their own car, and given it a ten.Updated
c-net really needs to stop rating cars or at least take into account the car as a whole. And by the way the Lexus gets the same street mpg as its competitors with one mpg better on the highway.
