2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid

Pros: Great accelleration, good brakes, responsive steering, economical fuel usage. Quiet engine noise. Great drivers side legroom. I am 6'5" and fit comfortably in very few cars.

Cons: A little pricer than Prius/Camry-Hybrid. Limited features without spending an extra $3K on the connection package. No Antiskid braking system. Mileage is only about 33MPG avg in my experience

Summary: A great looking car for a Hybrid. I get tired of looking at Prius after Prius. The Altima is sportier and fun to drive. The steering is responsive. If you are not worried about gas milage it will accellerate pretty fast. It has a quiet cabin. The logic to pick electric vehicle vs gas seems random at times ( but it is the same as a Prius ). Did i mention that I am 6'5" and I am comfortable driving it?? It was one of the few hybrids I test drive that was comfortable for me to drive. In electric mode it is very quiet. In gas mode it sounds like a quiet lawnmover, but it has some "get up and go" to it. So far after 2500 miles I like it (no problems). My mileage is about 33MPG average so far. I don't know if the extra price for hybrid will ever pay off with higher gas prices but there is a $2300 federal tax credit on new vehicle purchases in the USA.
