Pros Alot of features plus 3 engine modes you could choose from!
Cons Takes up premium fuel. A sleeper sport sedan.
Summary Bought this car last septmeber 07' brand new with only 7 miles on its ODO! Since that day till now it never gave me any problems whatsoever. So I was kind of wondering why the previous reviewer for this car had all those problems. It never shut down on me nor gave me any problems to its features. A sleeper sedan indeed which was good because it doesn't catch too much attention to cops and makes you more special since only a few people owned this version. Heck, you rarely even find people driving Legacy's, let alone a spec.B version hence it separates you from the "common society". It sounds awesome everytime you switch gears because the blow-off valve sounds off with a whistling sound so you could really feel how sporty this car is. Its like the WRX STi's big brother. This car's a big bang for the price because its got everything it has to offer, heated automatic seats, auto-dimming rear mirror with homelink(which was very convenient to open-up my garage door), AWD standard with a 6-speed manual transmission! You can't feel how sporty it is in my opinion if its not a manual transmission, this car makes it all worthwhile! This car even has 3 engine modes you could choose whether you're cost conscious about todays fuel economy or just a sport minded individual who loves to get in trouble for speeding. I get an average of 30 mpg on highways(that is if I go along the posted speed limit) for the Intelligent Drive mode. Then I get to use the S# mode when I want to pass slow moving cars on the road or for emergency maneuvers(such as avoiding collisions with crossing animals on the road). The built-in GPS Nav takes awhile to get used to but if you keep mingling with it after awhile you get used to it. And the screen doesn't just offer navigation, it also has a calculator, maintenance schedule program, etc. It also came in with a 6-cd changer with 6 programmable stations for both FM(has two 6-station configuration) and AM station. You could also hook-up your iPod to the AUX input jack, provided if you have the proper chord to hook up your iPod to the car's AUX jack. Plus you can't beat the 5-star crash rating for this car! Its got front and side curtain airbags and an ABS. It even has a safety feature on the NAV wherein you can't adjust you're heading or tinker around the rest of the NAV screen's features not unless your vehicle's fully stopped. It also has a daylight running lights for added safety. It also has a switch that heats-up your windshield wiper fluid to help take out the ice on your windshield during cold seasons. Its got dual climate contol knobs in the front, kind of like a sleep number bed where the driver and front passenger can choose whatever temperature they want. One thing I haven't mentioned on the cons was that you have to warm-up its engines till the warm-up light goes off, and you have to run your engine in idle for 30 secs after a long drive to stabilize your turbo before you shut it down otherwise you mess up the turbo's spinning shaft, but hey, its worth it. You could avoid the warming-up-takes-time part if you bought a remote engine starter. Its seats, though it looks sporty and nice, is kind of hard and uncomfy to sit after awhile. The seatbelts in the back is kind of annoying to your shoulder if you're short because you can't adjust it upward or downward since its fixed. Speaking of back seats, it was a smart way for them to design a practical foldable 60/40 seat. You could basically fold the entire back seat, or either one to accomodate large loads in the back of your car. Kind of like a small pick-up truck with a turtle top. There's an emergency luminous latch also inside the trunk door just incase somebody gets trapped. I don't know why they get trapped there in the first place, but its nice to have that device just incase. The car also comes with a free donut spare tire and jack set conveniently hidden underneath a decent foam organizer and the trunk's carpet. Overall a nice complete car for its price!
Pros Quck acceleration, designed to move over 100 mph; the faster the speed, the better the car reacts. Exceptional turning and maneuverability.
Cons Poor gas mileage - determined on aggressively of driving, of course.
Summary I am 100% satisfied with my legacy gt 2.5 spec b machine. Ensure that you keep up with the maintenace every 3700 miles. I just blew my turbo due to lack of oil - stupid mistake. The new turbo in this car is very nice and sound.
Pros Fast, handles great, love the 6 speed, AWD and comfort!
Cons No DVD in the nav system like the 2008 Impreza's are geting? (Not that it matters , you dont need a distraction with a car this fun to drive!).
Summary I have a 2008 Spec.B and this car is awesome! Every time I drive it I fall in love with it a little bit more! At first I thought it had a small amount of lag while the turbo spooled but have come to appreciate how smooth it makes it off the line.. it still takes off like a rocket, leaving other cars at the light just a spec in the rearview mirror! The interior is great and has more stuff than I know what to do with, but the BEST thing is it has a high end luxury feel without having to even to play the "My 7 series BMW is better than your 3 series" game to begin with... lol
"Love the car"on by jskrlj
Pros great power delivery. Beutiful interior.
Cons no bluetooth, suspension a little too soft
Summary I came from a wrx wagon. This is a complete step up. I was looking at the G35 and A4. Decided on this car due to performance and low key aspect of the car.
I wish Subaru and other manufacturers would get rid of the "I agree" buttons on the navigation every time you start the car.
