Editors' note: Toyota issued a recall for vehicles of this model and year on January 21, 2010 to replace the accelerator pedal mechanism, which has been known to get stuck, causing unintended acceleration. For the latest recall information, please visit the Toyota Web site.

Toyota asserts that the all-new 2007 Toyota Camry's looks are a bold and assertive answer to the ordinary styling of the previous car. Toyota may be attempting to respond to critics who consider the Camry an appliance approach, as opposed to making an emotional appeal, to the car business. But Toyota's conservative approach with the Camry has earned it the top sales spot for a passenger car during eight of the last nine years. The new design allows a roomier cabin with a host of fine features. Both four- and six-cylinder engines have added power with good fuel economy and excellent emissions ratings. An auxiliary audio input is standard, and Bluetooth is available separately from the navigation package.

Upside: The new Toyota Camry is smooth and quiet over a variety of road surfaces, and handling is precise without punishing occupants with a harsh ride. The four-cylinder engine has adequate power for family chores and delivers 25mpg/34mpg (city and highway, respectively) fuel economy with a standard transmission. For added enthusiasm, the 3.5-liter V-6 from the Avalon model provides 268 horsepower, enough to surprise some sports sedans at a stoplight. All instrument trims feature backlit Optitron displays and an oil change reminder. All audio systems have MP3 and WMA playback capability, digital sound processors, and an auxiliary input for iPod and other portable audio devices. Bluetooth and GPS navigation are available as options.

Downside: For buyers who seek emotion in their ride, the Camry is still more sensible than arousing. Four-cylinder fuel economy with the automatic transmission, Toyota's most popular combination, has decreased slightly in highway EPA rating despite a change from five to six speeds. That's in vivid contrast to the gain in both power and economy of the six-cylinder offering. Base prices remain competitive with other midsize offerings but quickly escalate with the addition of comfort and convenience options.

Outlook: Despite aggressive competition from Kia with a similar-size, full-featured entrant at a lower price and Ford's competent new Fusion model, the Camry should keep its first place title. The buttoned-down styling is clean and contemporary, and the quality remains class-leading. Camry will also include a hybrid model that will help position the popular sedan as delivering high economy and leading technology. Finally, the addition of useful features will appeal to careful shoppers.

Quality Control and car body is poor.

Pros: Engine and drivetrain, and Highway MPG.

Cons: Body flimsy, Paint flecks off without cause. Poor final
inspection.

Review: As cited in item 4, doors, bumpers, fenders, are flimsy,
pain flecks off without reason. Car was not inspeced before
delivery as a front body brace was hanging down upon arrival
home.

reliable car at 17000 miles

Pros: The car starts everyday, as long as you take it in for maintenance .

Cons: The steering column makes a thumping noise when wheel is turned,Interior is not quiet you can hear outside noises, front end is shoddy wearing out my tires every two years(17000 miles),braking system not totally reliable.

Review: I have owned camrys before and i have liked their reputation so I bought this 2005 le 4 cylinder camry.I trust the car on short trips but for long trips it is not a comfortable car in my opinion.I have heard many complaints on the car and wondering as I put on more miles on this car will the problems affect me also toyota is no longer a reliable vehicle so do your homework if you decide to purchase a car, my homework went down the drain with all the recalls toyota is going thru, good luck.

Very poor quality

Pros: Nice looking, quiet cabin

Cons: very poor quality in and out, burning oil, ABS makes noise, transmission problem, poor assembly

Review: I have 2007 Camy LE. I have had too many problems with this car since the first day I bought it. This is my third Toyota, I drove the other two without any major problems for years and I bought this camry without any hesitation. I ended up having a huge disappointment. I do not do much milage. My car has only 8500 miles. Here are the problems I had so far.
- My camry burns oil. I change the oil for every 2500 miles. Within this mileage, the oil level goes down from the full level to almost low level. Toyota service said it is normal !! I first thought that it was a joke !! According to them, it is normal if any of their engines burns 1 liter oil for every 1000 miles. I never heard a new car burns so much oil.
- Transmission problem; I do not have much hesitation. But when I do "stop and go" it switches to high gear without accelerating enough. The car shakes and the transmission jerks.
- Rattles on dashboard. It is very annoying. I booked an appointment a few times to get it fixed in Toyota service but I gave up afterwards. They told me that they would take the whole dashboard down. It is missing some pads. Because I do not trust technicians in the service and I was afraid to have more problems after.
- Very poor painting. Almost, every time I go out I see new chipping on the bumper paint. Even littler flies chip the paint. I have over 20 chipped spots. I used touch-up pen to cover them but they are noticeable and it looks ugly.
- Trunk was not closing well hitting the bumper. It peeled off the paint on the bumper. Toyota service fixed it but still it does not close easily. The paint was fixed by touch-up pen !!
- Heater fan was not functioning correctly. It was turning on and off itself. The nob was not going to off for some reason.
- Glove box was not closing. The dealer took down half of the dashboard to fix it. It still does not close properly.
- Very poor gas consumption. It is far from what Toyota advertises. I get 25.4mpg with 90% highway driving. This is calculated for the last 6000miles. It goes down to 17~18 mpg in the city. All these are with very decent driving style.
- ABS makes noise. Every time I start the car, when the speed reaches to 15km and 30km ABS system makes "thuck" noise.

I can list some of the other quality problems as follows. Interior components are not aligned well. There are uneven gaps everywhere. Poor sound quality. Speakers and cables are not protected inside the trunk. They can be damaged easily.

Overall, This was a big disappointment for me after driving two other Toyotas for year without any major problem. I believe Toyota is losing its reputation. This is definitely going to be my last Toyota.

absolutly crap

Pros: there are not any pros for this car

Cons: everything in this car is horrible...HORRIBLE

Review: it is a very uncomfortable ride. the car breaks down fast. the head lights die fast. this is the worst car Toyota has ever made. i usually prefer Toyota cars, but this is absolutely crap. After using this car, it starts to eat up extra gas as it gets older.

not worth the money

Pros: the way the car looks

Cons: everything else

Review: Absolutely the worst car ever. This is ym fourth car i ever owned from Toyota and this is by far the worst car ever(all of the others were great such as the corolla, Sequoya, 2005 Camry, and matrix). First the timing belt broke. Then there was a leakage in the gas tank which took a fortune to fix. Trust me, did not by car from Mexico. i payed a grand total of 35,000 for this car. I customized it through the Toyota dealers through the internet. Bought it from toyota fully loaded. If you are going to listen to other people about this car, it might be your biggest mistake. I bought this car in the summer of 2006 and kept it till may 27, 2008 Bottom line not a good car.

the 2005 camry was alot better

Pros: The way that the dash board buttons and gps was arranged

Cons: almost everything else in the car... i am sorry to say

Review: Usually Toyota's are excellent cars. my dad had a 2007 Camry. It had many problems. My grand dads 2005 Camry is a lot better than the new ones. My grand dad still has the 2005 camry and it still hasn't had a problem. But this 07 Camry is just a disappointment.

Not happy with one particular problem!

Pros: Great looks , great MPG,

Cons: no dual exhaust on 4 cyl.

Review: Overall I am happy with my 07 Camry SE, althought 5 months after I bought I had some issued with the fuel getting into the Charcoal Canaster, I've had this replaced at least 4 times now and I've had enough of that... Dealer is blaming me, that I am over fueling the gas tank. NEVER HEARD OF THE BEFORE. My car kept on dying eveytime I made a complete stop and it came to the point where it stalled in the middle on of an intesection. NOT SAFE AT ALL... so I am in the process of trying to get it replaced. wish me luck!

faulty acceleration and shifting

Pros: On a trip from pa to nc we got 32.7 mpg even with stop and go on beltway near DC. no rattles or squeaks

Cons: drive by wire, hesitates off the line, awful transmission

Review: I have a 4cyl camry, 3600 miles, recent program update for transmission to smooth shifting. It still hesitates slightly when pulling out which at times is dangerous. It shifts down when applying brakes and at times this is annoying since you then have to accelerate for it to upshift. The shifting, though better after update, is still far below acceptable standards.

Simply a great car

Pros: Roomy, Good fuel economy

Cons: Haven't found any.

Review: Bought this car for my wife. The Camry replaced her Grand Cherokee which is quite frankly the worst money pit I've ever been associated with.

The Camry rides well, has more than sufficient power when equipped with the 6 cylinder, and plenty of amenities. Just rolled over 15,000 miles without the first hiccup. I don't think we ever got more than 5,000 miles at a time on the Jeep without having to take it in for something.

I wish I'd bought something else

Pros: Looks good, roomy inside

Cons: Transmission slips, brakes acting up at 21,000

Review: I bought the Camry because I need a car that got good gas mileage but was roomy. I bought the 4 cyl. version. If you try to accelerate from a rolling stop, the transmission acts like it doesn't know what gear to be in. It lags so badly, you can't take a chance jumping into traffic. You don't know if it'll hesistate at the wrong moment.
Now, I'm having issues with the brakes. It feels like a rotor problem, and I'll be taking it in this week. The car stutters when you first apply pressure to the brakes.
Also, I have a sunroof and was having a horrible time with water pooling in the passenger side floor board. It took two trips to the dealer for them to find that a drain hole was plugged and was causing the water to drain into the floor board. At least the found it, and I haven't had any problems in the last 3 months with it leaking. Hopefully that'll continue to be the case. If not, it'll cost me nearly $300 to have that drain cleaned out after the car is out of warranty.
Too bad they scratched my paint while they had it in the shop. Scratches show up really well on the Barcelona Red paint. That's typical of any red vehicle though, and not a Toyota issue.
Overall, I wish I'd bought a different car. Toyota had such a great reputation, and that was a big factor in my decision to get the Camry.

Tried the Accord. Camry was far far superior even in a lesser model.

Pros: Nice ride, excellent handling, powerful 4 cylinder, good looking car

Cons: The door post seems too close to the drivers exit path. Shorter people would not have a problem. Try it see what you think? .

Review: Extremely happy with the car. Price was good, styling is superior, interior comfortable. Lots of storage and several compartments. Solid body, no rattles, quiet car. All good except that getting out seems a bit difficult as I am tall and the seat is behind the door post in the back all the way position. It might just be I'm too old and not agile enough, however it isn't so much of a bother that I would have chosen any other vehicle.

Excellent vehicle

Pros: Smooth and powerfull powertrain(V6) and lots of features

Cons: Could use some chrome or other trim on the sides

Review: I moved from a 2002 Lexus ES300 to the Camry XLE V6 and was surpised at the similarity in smoothness and quiet comfortable ride. It does not offer all the features available in the ES but it is hard to justify almost $10K difference for similarly loaded models. Also the current ES and XLE V6 now have simila styling and power which was not the case in previous years. The Camry also offers 58 more horsepower than the ES300 (and 78 more than last years Camry XLE V6) with better mileage (22/31 vs 21/29) - amazing engineering. The bluetooth is great for those who need hands free cell phone use (see the Lexus site for a good cell/bluettooth compatibility and setup guide).

I am glad I choose the Camry over the Maxima!

Pros: Very smooth, quiet, lots of room, great gas mileage for V6. I get a lot of compliments on my XLE!

Cons: If think they should of designed a better looking rim for the XLE and automatically have 17 or 18 inch rims!

Review: I enjoy driving the camry, the V6 has enough horse power since I am stepping down from the Camaro Z28 that I traded in. Its very smoothe you don't feel any bumps, no road noise either. Gas mileage is great. All features fit the car. I was in between the maxima and the camry, but the camry has a lot more room over the maxima and better gas mileage plus more horsepower. The ride is much smoother. What can I say I love my camry.

Lovely car, lovely ride

Pros: Beautiful, Responsive, Intuitive, smooth, Well designed, Safe

Cons: In LE models with automatic transmission you can feel the change of gears.

Review: Just in four words: I LOVE THIS CAR. I used to drive a Honda Accord 2001 LX and just I replaced that with a new Toyota Camry 2007 LE. The differences are a lot. You will get a smooth and quiet ride by Camry 2007. You will have an intuitive and beautiful front dash and steering wheel. However the car is a mid-size one, but you can feel a plenty space in the rear seat. Feet are really comfortable for both driver and passenger.
You won't be exhausted in a long time drive. Suspension is designed perfectly and it really rocks.
Except for the feeling of changing gears in during acceleration which is not annoying at all, everything is fine and well designed. Maybe this feeling is normal for the first 1000 miles. I'd rather give myself a bit more time to judge about this issue.
On overall, if you are thinking about Camry, do not hesitate. You're gonna love that. I would rate this car 10 of 10.
Updated
I was excited by the smooth ride of car during the first week and that's why I put my previous fancy and attractive comments.
It's been for more than 3 months that I have been driving this CAMRY 2007 and I am frustrated by its recalls and problems:

1. A rattling sound comes from right side of the dash. I took my car to the dealership 4 or 5 times. They said that they had fixed it but it is returned now. Making left turn, making right turn, accelerating, decelerating, stopping and moving the car causes that annoying noise to show up. It's really annoying big time! Tick Tick Tick Tick Click Tick Click.......

2. Rattling sound started to come of the front brakes. This is another recall.

3. Rear shocks make terrible noise when the car goes over a bumper. The dealer claimed that they had fixed this recall but still persists.

4. When the car is armed, it generated one or two acknowledgment beeps. Due to no reason, it stopped generating that sound!!! Maybe a bug in the firmware!!!

I am sick and tired of keep taking this garbage car to the dealership to fix it.

Toyota's QC sucks, they ruined their reputation by this car. Even their licenses mechanics cannot fix a problem! God, what a terrible mistake I made in selling my lovely Accord and getting this garbage.

I would rate this car 2 out of 10!!!

Fantastic Car -- Couldn't be happier!

Pros: Beautiful fit and finish; fantastic value!!

Cons: Pickup can be slightly sluggish - but I drove a car with a V8 before I purchased my Camry.

Review: My sky blue 2007 Camry LE is simply a phenomenal car. Comfortable and smooth to drive, I have been extremely pleased with its performance during my commute to work (12 miles each way), as well as a trip home to see my parents (710 miles each way). The seats are extremely supportive and I had absolutely no pain or discomfort even after my long drive. The car also had no problem handling many sharp mountain curves as I passed through West Virginia!

The interior is spacious and the car even comfortably fit myself and 4 grown men with no problem. The trunk is also very roomy - especially for a car this size! Fuel economy has also been excellent.

The blue backlit dash is sleek and I have found all the controls and meters extremely functional and easy to read. The model I chose also has alloy wheels, 8 speakers (instead of the standard 6), and bluetooth capabilities and I have been very pleased with these upgrades.

The 4-cylinder is more than adequate, but slightly sluggish if you have to punch the gas after a complete stop (but this is, after all, coming from someone whose previous car had a V8). Still, my Camry is great when accelerating onto highways or hitting the gas while already moving. The only little thing I've noticed so far is the RPMs got rather high when I drove through the mountains with cruise control on. I stopped using the cruise control on the hills and it took care of the problem.

Overall, I LOVE my Camry and am thrilled with my purchase. Combined with Camry's well-known track record of reliability, I foresee this as a car that will continue to satisfy me for years to come.

Impressive

Pros: Fit and finish, solid 'feel', reliability, far better seats

Cons: The 4-5 speed transmission on the automatics

Review: I've owned 4 different Camrys over the years, each of them from a different Toyota generation. This newest and 6th generation represented by my 2007 Camry is the best of all, as it should be.

The solid quality and workmanship between the 2007 and 2005 model (which I traded in) is quite noticeable. The 2007 Camry has more room inside, better overall stability on the road and yes, far better handling.

I actually chose the CE with standard transmission over the LE with automatic, mainly because of these traits. And no, it wasn't on price alone although saving an extra $3,000 was a good thing.

The LE with automatic has this 4-5 speed transmission allowing the driver to easily select either mode with a slight inward touch. When the car was in the 5 speed mode, it seemed to be lost searching for the right gear and, with the extra weight, made the car a little ponderous to drive. My old 2005 LE with automatic didn't have this problem,

The standard transmission has a good, quality, snick-snick-snick feel when shifting through the gears and the car responds in excellent nimble fashion. Alas, finding one of these entry level Camrys is not easy as most dealers would have had to order one with the attendant long wait but I was fortunate to find one on a dealer lot.

If you've never driven a stick shift, or have to daily commute in heavy traffic, this isn't the car for you but when it comes to high quality, a reputation I KNOW about for reliability and great value, this is the Camry right for me. It might be right for you as well.

Love my new 07 Black Camry LE

Pros: Build, reliability, options, safety, value, appearance

Cons: Automatic transmission, power

Review: I have traditionally hated Camry's. They were unimpressive, unmemorable appliances that drive. The '07 Camry changes a lot of that.

The interior is more agressive than previous models, with clear easy to read gauges and a love it or hate blue backlight on the center console. I went with cloth seats and they feel very supportive. The front seat may lack thigh support for some, but otherwise it feels very high quality. Rear seats provide plenty of room and everything from the 60/40 split to the overhead "airplane like" dome lights feel like a luxury car 20,000 more.

Shocks are MacPhearson and the ride is unlike anything you've felt in a Camry. The car is responsive, but not harsh.

The 6speed automatic transmission feels like it lags sometimes, and the 4 cylinder 158 hoursepower standard engine lags behind the accord in responsiveness (based on my test drives).

If you're looking for a reliable, comfortable, car with some of the luxury looks and feel of more expensive cars then the 07 Camry is perfect.

Superb. Many improvements over 2006.

Pros: Ride, handling, acceleration, style, fit and finish, features.

Cons: Hard to find one!

Review: I was leasing a 2006 Camry LE and needed to get out of the lease due to personal circumstances. I got a 2007 XLE V6 in Blue Ribbon Metallic with remote start. The vehicle is superb. I had trouble finding one as availability is limited. Once I did, all I could say was "wow." This car is excellent all around. Stylish, comfortable, loaded with features and fast. I could not ask for more!

SUPER DUPER SE WITH LOTSA POOP!

Pros: lotsa poop in a 4 banger

Cons: a litta stiffa ride but will suffa for sportsa peel

Review: Bought this 2007 SE because I thought it looked dandy. Worried about getting a 4 banger for power but couldn't be happier that I did.

I sold a 2005 Jeep Cherokee because I hated getting 15 miles per gallon @ $3.20+ per gallon. Now I save about 25% on my gas bill which used to be $450 per month.

If you drive this car like traffic dictates, you will get about 22 miles MPG overall. If you go on long trips and drive over 70 mph, expect about 30MPG and not the 33MPG as advertised. Still pretty good milage when you're zooming pass your neighbor.

I chose the SE because *I think* it looks COMPLETELY different than the none SE modles. It is AMAZING - what a difference a spoiler and some ground effects can make - but, alas, it does. The blacked out grill of the SE makes the Camry look far more mischievious than the other models does. I like that because, well, I am very mischievious.

The SE does ride *bumpier* than the LE or XLE models does but it is a small price to pay for the "cool looks" factor and it handles the curves MUCH better. I am 42 and still going through my midlife crappola so I need the youth factor of the SE. Not ready for the Avalon grandpa factor yet.

I had a bit remorse that I didn't check out the Lexus IS 250 but maybe next time. An extra $8K will raise that monthly payment quite a bit and I still haven't decided if I like the look of the Lexus IS better than the Camry. Time will tell.

And the looks..... boy, I tell you, I feel like a well-hung stud on the farm with this beauty. EVERYONE gawks at it. Maybe it is the newbie looks or maybe it is me???? No, it's the car.

If you are wondering whether or not to buy it, just do it. Buy the damn thing - you will not be sorry. I'm haven't been.

Not at all.

Tootles!

Terrific car with minor gripes

Pros: Superb motor, good handling, great value.

Cons: Some rattles off the showroom floor, minor qualty issue

Review: I traded a 2003 BMW 325i for this car and made the right decision. I bought the SE V6 with leather and think it is a superb value and car. The handling is not quite what the BMW had, but the motor is just superb. Great power, smoothness and refinement. Some reviews say the handling is not "sporty". I disagree completely. There is little body roll with the SE package, and the steering is fairly responsive. It's not a BMW but it didn't cost $40k either. I traded because I wanted more space and more reliability (lots of small problems with my BMW).

My minor gripes include a rattle the first day I bought it that ended up being the leather interior in the back seat making slight contact with the plastic package shelf. Dealer fixed it without issue. The second is a front bumper that has a manufacturing defect (gap on one side adjacent to the headlight). Not fixed yet, but in the works.

There are some materials that are subpar like the door handles and some interior bits, but the SE leather (unique to the SE) is nice and the dash is well laid out. I haven't decided whether I like the dash lighting yet (bluish green tint) but that's trivial. One issue is that the center console lights are bright which can be a little distracting at night.

Overall a superb improvement over the previous model and one that can surprise lots of "performance" cars at the stoplight. I love it.

best mid size car in the market

Pros: comfortable as if seating in a first class sans flight attendent

Cons: toyota should include Navigation system as standard optional price is ridiculously high

Review: We are the family of Toyota, just sold my Toytoa 1995 Camary LE which had 250,000 miles and it performs just great.
the New XLE 2007 seems even better. My wife and twin daughters love the car. Specially rear seats is roomy comfortable with reading light and yes the rear view manual shades are one of the great features this is a great car. Since nothing is perfect Toyota Camry XLE is near perfect car of the year.

Unmatched Value

Pros: Power, quietness, ride & value

Cons: Plastic wheel covers

Review: Purchased LE V6 with only floor/trunk mat accessory. This is a lot of car for the money. Excellent power and acceleration matched with seamless transmission. Achieves almost Lexus-like quietness and isolation from noises. Steering is predictable and stable but not "sporty". Plenty of seat, leg and headroom in front and rear. Easily accommodates 3 adult passengers in rear seat which splits, folds and has useful trunk pass through feature. Includes tire pressure monitoring system. Side curtain airbag is standard and enhances safety. Fit and finish are outstanding both inside and out. Contrary to some reviews, there is nothing cheap about the interior. It does contain an abundance of plastic but it is tastefully applied and at under $24,000 drive away, one should not expect wood grain and 14 karat gold. Closest competitor would be Honda Accord but at 2-4 thousand dollars more. I challenge anyone to find a car with this level of comfort , convenience, power and quality at this price point. You can't.

Great car, style, handling

Pros: Style, handling, gas mileage

Cons: Audio system, air system

One of the best vehicles I have ever owned!

Pros: Smooth ride, very well appointed, and hybrid technology make this the hybrid to beat!

Cons: The hybris technonlgy system eats up a significant portion of the usually large truck compartment.

Review: The Camry Hybrid sets the standard for all other auto makers! Toyota has done it right with a powerful 4 cylinder that delivers adequate power and excellent fuel economy. The seats are the most comfortable around and the hybrid comes with great features such as a power driver's seat w/lumbar support, 5 cd changer, dual air conditioner system, integrated bluetooth feature and a smart key system! I am averaging 38.5 mpg in city driving and 36 mpg on the road!

The IRS has also indicated a $2600 tax credit for 2006 on the Camry Hybrid. The Camry hybrid is as close to a luxury vehicle as you will find!

Outstanding Auto.

Pros: Very nicely built, Looks like it should cost alot more than I paid.

Cons: 4 banger could have a little more power.

Review: This is my fist toyota, I am usually a Ford man. I am very impressed with the XLE. Looking at the interior/exterior you would think it was a 40,000 or 50,000 car. However the Toyota dealership I got the car form is another story. I am very disappointed with there sales staff. I bought the car last week, this week the called and wanted me to come down and sign a diff contract with a higher price. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.... Not my fault the made a mistake and I only paid 21,500 for the car. I understand they want to get what the think it's worth, but there scare tactics aint working on a Marine. I give the dealership a 0 rating. Just so you know the dealership is located in Yuma, AZ. It's the only one here so you can stay away.

Excellent Vehicle! I am really glad I bought this car.

Pros: Solid ride, handles well, tight Fit & Finish, Great Gas mileage.

Cons: A tad underpowered with the 2.4L, Satellite Radio gets a "engine whir" when using the AUX Jack.Allot of accessories are not available yet.

Review: This is one fine automobile. I own the Black Camry LE trim with the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine. I was waiting for a Corolla LE to be built to my specs...taking way too long. I hit the dealership with a "Give me a Quote on this Camry then...". They said 2K off sticker...I said SOLD!

I am glad I did. It rides so much better then the Corolla. It is roomy, pretty darn good on the Comfort Level. Not as good as my Park Avenue, but that is not really a fair comparasion since the Park Ave was 15K more in 2000.

I standard options are well received. Power Drivers seat, Power Windows & Mirrors. Nice seating, Stock stereo has good sound with 6 speakers and has a AUX jack. It will also play WMP & MP3 CD's. 60-40 rear seats. Storage cubbies. Mine came with steel rims. This didn't bother me since I didn't like the Stock Alloy ones Toyota had. I added some nice Diamond Finish (Brushed Aluminum) American Racing rims to it. Really added to it's looks.

The Sunroof is an option...however, it is a well made one. It either tilts or goes back...and it goes back into the roof frame. Toyota didn't skimp on this device.

A week after I bought this car I saw a Blue XLE on the Dealership lot for 3K more then my LE. THAT would have been the car I would have been totally happy with. It also was a 4 cylinder 2.4L engine. Well...I will wait until 2008-09 and trade up for a XLE.

All in all. You can't find a better car for the money or the quality. These Camry's are known to last a long time. Mine is a Japanese built one. Sad to say...but the Japanese build the cars with that extra touch. Less recalls on the Japanese built cars. things like the interior panels are tight and don't squeek or rattle. Same for the Exterior. Nice tight Fit & Finish!

You should at least test drive one. This is coming from a Big Buick lover of 35 years. I am really impressed with Toyota's craftmenship!

Fit and finish is excellent on my 4cyl LE and interior is very roomy and luxurious for the price pt

Pros: Ride and quietness is truly better than many luxury cars.Transmission is smooth. At hwy speed drive is good but in town I prefer 3rd gear for a little more oomph. The new syle is very nice.

Cons: Cruise control confusing. Tilt doesn't go down enough and is hard to adjust. Brakes are just ok.

Review: The looks, ride, comfort, safety and standard features are excellent! Gas mileage is OK.Trunk space along with 60/40 fold down rear seats is amazing for a car this size.Dashboard lights are clear and very cool!Interior is very roomy and very luxurious for the price. The 4 cyl is sluggish in "Drive" around town, but using the auto shifter fixes that. I bought the car for safety, mileage, comfort, and fit and finish and so far I'm very happy. The red is beautiful! Plastic wheel covers look OK new but I'd prefer metal at this price. It also doesn't come standard with color matched side guards which I think is a must for a car this shape. It's asking to be banged by someone's door opening! All the body curves are very sexy. You have to see it in person to appreciate the new syle as most pics are terrible.
