"I love this car"
Pros: Rides like a dream, great engine, bells and whistles are amazing
Cons: Pricey, no XM Radio, some iDrive features in desperate need of a good User Interface designer
Summary: I've had mine for about a month now and I just love it. Rides like a dream, handling is amazing (but only if you get the sport handling package; without it, it feels more like a Taurus). The standard engine (528i) is plenty powerful, but the 535i adds twin turbos and makes it a rocket. But for a hardcore geek, the technology is the real show. I love the little touches, like touch sensitive radio buttons... you rest your finger on the button and it displays what's programmed on them to remind you. And you can program those buttons to do anything in the system, so one button can be a favorite radio station, another button can instantly plot your navigation home, and another button can dial home. The keyless start and touch sensitive door handles with the "comfort access" package are slick. The bluetooth phone integration is cool, it works better on "approved" phones but it's ok on unapproved ones. Voice recognition system is cool too, but the short-cut voice commands are hard to remember sometimes. Cavernous trunk, 20-way adjustable seats are amazing... my favorite is the shoulder adjustment, which makes the seat feel more like it's cradling you. Too many more little cool things than I can possibly mention... but my favorite: the cruise control indicator.... go test drive one and see what I mean. The Sirius satellite radio is crappy... but that's Sirius's fault, not BMWs... I'm getting an XM installed, I just wish it would integrate as slickly. The iPod controls are good too.
