"The Infiniti G35S rocks!"
5.0 starson by cwsullivanPros: INCREDIBLE sound system, powerful engine, smooth shifting automatic, Drive Sport shift mode, paddle shifters, sport suspension, much improved interior, sporty seats, great gas mileage, auto-on headlamps, standard fog lamps, smart key, BEAUTIFUL CAR!
Cons: It doesn't have wings...which are sometimes needed to fly over the traffic that gets in your way. Seriously, though, it's very difficult to find fault with this vehicle!!
Summary: This car is AWESOME! Compared to a BMW 335i, which costs $10,000-$20,000 more (depending on the options), this car wins hands down, in my book. The BMW handles only very slightly better (it takes a professional driver to be able to tell the difference), but in just about every other category, this car beats the BMW. This car is faster, the interior is nicer, the electronic controls are much more intuitive, the car is more reliable, and the sound system blows the BMW stereo away!
Also, I don't know why people are complaining about the gas mileage on this car. I drive mine fairly hard, about 60 miles per day in Dallas, TX traffic (half highway driving and half city street diving) and I am averaging right at 20 MPG. The G35 is a rear wheel drive sports car that has a 306HP engine, runs sub 14 second quarter miles, and does 0-60 in barely over 5 seconds. This is NOT a TOYOTA PRIUS, so what do you expect? I think that 20 miles per gallon is pretty good mileage for a car producing this much power!
The G35 is a beautiful automobile, and the interior is MUCH improved and much quieter when compared to the 2006 and older models. I have the G35S sedan, with a 5 speed automatic transmission. As stated earlier, the G35 has a 306 HP V6
engine, which provides amazing acceleration. And, the sport tuned suspension helps provide amazing handling. The 5 speed automatic transmission provides very smooth shifting in standard mode, and very sporty shifting in DS mode (DS = Drive Sport). And, the paddle shifters give you even more control, by allowing you to manually shift the transmission. And, for me, best of all, the sound system is absolutely incredible (as I said in the summary, this car "rocks")!
The sport package provides a stiffer (but not too stiff) sport tuned suspension, 18" wheels with performance low profile tires, limited slip differential, larger, upgraded 13" front & rear disc brakes, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, sportier, 8 way adjustable, wrap around, bucket seats with thigh extenders (I'm 6'3", and the thigh extender makes a huge difference in comfort for me), aluminum pedals, sport stitched leather steering wheel, and a more aggressive looking front end.
And, finally, once you get over how awesome this car accelerates, brakes, and handles, and you turn on the stereo system, you are, again, blown away! This sound system is AWESOME! There is a function called "Driver's Audio Stage", which tunes all of the speakers so that the driver is in the CENTER of the sound. It is awesome! The base response is so accurate, tight, and responsive. Throughout the entire audio spectrum, the sound is flawless. If I close my eyes (with the car parked, of course), I could swear that I'm in the studio with the band. It is truly amazing!
I highly recommend this vehicle!! Comfort, luxury, amazing performance, amazing sound system, amazing reliability...this car has it all!
