"One of the LARGEST MISTAKES I EVER MADE!!!!!"
Pros: Navigation, Front Grill
Cons: Road Noise, Wind Noise, Gas Mileage (Quality and Workmanship)
Summary: I leased an 08 black GTS with Navigation 12/24/07 as a work car. I am a travel nurse and spend a great deal of time in my car. A week after buying the car, the right front door began to rattle. They tightened the bolts and replaced the door panel and it still rattled. Went in numerous times to get this fixed only to meet failure. The second week, the subwoofer became dislodged and made this horrible rattling noise (dealership fixed). I drove 1.5 hours to San Francisco last week at 5am in the morning and it was raining. My windshield wipers went out. Needless to say, I almost had a wreck trying to get off the freeway. About 3 miles down the highway they started back working. This was the last straw for me. Over the past three months, I had taken the car into the dealership over 10 times. When I got rid of the car it had 2700 miles on it, mainly from driving an hour to the dealership and them road testing the h#ll out of my car only for them not to fix the rattling or pretend not to hear it. Mitsubishi Corporation was no help either. I called arbitration for help. The only thing they did was call and warn the dealership that I had called them. This is when they started pretending not to hear the rattling. The general manager refused to talk to me several times. On top of the other problems, the Lancer has horrible gas mileage, extreme road noise, and wind noise. I got rid of the Lancer and got an 08 Nissan Altima Coupe fully loaded. I love it. I love it. I love it. Will never buy a mitsubishi ever in my life again. I would like to thank Mitsubishi for reminding me of why I am a Nissan/Infiniti customer.
