Pros Jetta is a very good car
Cons design isn't awesome, not quite roomy
Summary First of all, CNET reviews car like iPods! if you really intend on buying a car, please read specialized magazines or sites, NOT here.
They focus on gadgets like MP3, CD or iPod integration rather than manufacturing quality, realibility, engine and gearbox technology or comfortability!!
CNET reviews televisions and DVDs really good, but DO NOT take CNET into consideration for your next car...seriously
"very reliable"on by soonrgatr
Pros great fit and finish
Cons fuel economy
Summary This car has a well designed interior and impressive fit and finish. The car is very solid. This is my 2nd Volkwagen after a series of problems with Honda Accord transmissions which caused my to abandon the brand. I couldnt be happier. I will say that looking at Consumer Reports to find reliability info is like reading a non peer reviewed study. Graphs are poorly scaled, there is internal disgreement in parts of the magazine, etc. Simply put, I buy a car..if I have no problems after 110K miles I buy the same thing again. The jetta meets that criteria.
Pros Attractive aesthetics
Cons Harsh engine, plagued with problems, proprietary service
Summary I'm a little surprised CNet didn't get into the basics of this car, like how unreliable it is mechanically.
Before taking their advice, I recommend looking up this information on leading consumer reporting sites.
