5.0 starson by sn0f0gPros: Wide variety of options. Great fuel economy. Quiet. Fast, no VERY fast, and quick (there is a difference). Solid handling. Very comfortable ride and seating. iDrive control is very convenient with a little practice. Low emissions.
Cons: No heads up display. No night vision capability. These should be appearing in later models. Pricey - but still worth it.
Summary: Most fun that I have experienced in 44 years of driving, even under today's conditions. BMW emphasizes avoiding accidents BEFORE they happen versus, after the fact safety issues. If you test drive one, you will pine for it until you can't stand it any longer.
