Best designed 4 wheel car that I have ever owned
Pros: I like how Toyota moved the speedometer to the center of the dash. I was able to mount my aftermarket navigation system behind the steering wheel. I got 35 mpg highway with the Yaris fully loaded with personal belongs. I like the 3 door hatchback.
Cons: I think power mirrors should be standard on all Yarises. I had to wait a day to get a new Yaris with power mirror. The 1.0L motor is only available in places like the UK and gets better fuel ecomony that the 1.5L motor available in the US.
Review: I like the 3 door liftback, with it's 4 glove compartments, so well that I traded in my Ford Ranger, which is hard to park and gets 17 mpg highway, as a down payment for a used 2007 Toyota 3 door hatchback, that is easy to park and automatic is available. Automatic and power steering is important for a person with chronic pain from a bike accident the damaged my cervical spine. Too many economy imports do not offer automatic. I now own two 3 door Toyota Yarises and now have 2 car payments. I would rather pay $480 a month in auto payments and save $60 a month in gasoline. Which reduces my carbon footprint and helps slow gobal warming. Plus less of my money ends up overseas in some Muslim country that denies human rights and may fund terrorist attacks upon Americans.
