Pros: The interior is near perfect with the navigation system and sunroof. Stereo is fantastic. The power is great, especially at speed in passing situations. The gearbox is precise. Getting 36 mpg city up to about 45 mpg hwy. Tons of room in the trunk.
Cons: The brakes are actually pretty poor. The clutch point is a little vague in first gear. Some minor electrical problems here and there. If you upgrade the tires you could get a lot more performance out of the car.

Pros: The feeling of power, it goes from a standing start better than anything on the road, excellent reliability, exceptional fuel consumption - on highway, driving conservatively and within limits, i get less than 5.5l/100km.
Cons: Price, interior looks and boot space - all fixed by buying Skoda Octavia with the same engine.

Pros: Unlike Cnet I believe this has one of the best stereo systems in any stock car let alone a $22K car. With a little adjustment this system really sounds accurate.
Cons: As with all VW's the maintenace schedule on many items is more often then other brands. . Customer service is poor at best from the factory 800 number.
