Pros A car that fulfills its design purpose, being a GREAT, affordable, good looking, reliable luxury car.
A luxurious quiet ride, very little road noise, very comfortable seats. Decent voice recognition based navigation system, with Lexus Enform.
Cons Ipod integration could be better. You loose your place if you are listening to an audio book and stop and start it again. So I use the aux jack when playing audio books. Voice recognition of imported cell phone address book entries doesn't work.
Summary The other reviewers are missing the point. It is a luxury car, period. So what if the body leans a little in turns. I would trade a little body lean for a luxurious quiet ride any day. The ONLY car that has as good of a ride AND handles better is a Mercedes S Class.
Consumer reports rates it as the 3rd most comfortable riding car after the Lexus LS and Mercedes S class. So CNET comfort rating must be referring something else besides comfort, because they give it a 6, based on what?
You can't compare it to an Acura TL, Mercedes E class, Infinity G, etc those cars are more about sports type ride.
I drove all of them when I was looking for a car and none of them can match the ES for a relaxing quiet ride,
Fantastic metallic colors to choose from. I have that deep red color and when the sun reflects off it looks absolutely beautiful.
Pros buttery steering lots of tech and standard features very roomy loads of power great base system great bluetooth stylish roof great transmision
Cons bland front end sporteir more power full same priced tl
Summary love it great value and but bland front end makes me makes love the tl sh awd more the tl is more hip
Pros Excellent build quality. Interior detail and materials are the finest I've seen. Paint is top notch. Better than an E Class Benz. Excellent mileage, better than advertised. Ride is great, minimum noise
Cons Navigation is good. Like it better than my Garmin as far as POI's. I wish the Nav displayed speed limit and speed of car. Need a more visible compass on Nav. Should have retained compass on mirror with Nav System. One or the other.
Summary I LIKE my Lexus. It is everything I could have asked for at the price paid. Quiet, smooth and a great responsive engine. Mileage is greater than the 27 advertised. Looking at close to 30 highway at 10mph over. Compared paint finishes and the Lexus paint is superior to the E Class Mercedes. Far superior. The E, built in Germany has noticeable orange peel, the C had less and I understand it is built in Brazil. Detailing in the interior is excellent and the quality of the leather is superb.
Pros It has a nice look
Cons why is apple ipod even considered the only music capable device. Its no big deal.
Pros typical toyota/Lexus value with no further problems
Cons audio good, but GPS not up with the best available tech. They should install Garmin or Tom-tom quality units. they charge enough to benefit from this change
