Pros Looks, Interior Refinement, Spacious
Cons Nowhere close to EPA gas mileage in real-world driving, Weighs too much, Strained Engine
Summary Overall, this a huge improvement to the previous Elantra. A much more refined car with much better looks inside and out. Fit and finish is on par with Japanese brethren. However, with the added refinement comes added weight, and the engine strains under acceleration. 50/50 city highway driving yields about 24mpg without a lead foot. Disappointing for a car that boasts about its fuel economy. And it's pretty boring to drive...get the Mazda3 if you want more excitement. Although this car would suit a highway commuter very well.
