"This is a great car with mileage even higher than promised"
Pros
Quiet, fuel efficient car that goes like a rocket if you wish.
Cons
We would rather have a column shift lever and easier to operate dome light

We never dreamed that a 3.5 liter, V6 engine rated at 24 city, 32 highway would end up getting 34.6 mpg regularly--and that is a combined city/highway driving. We normally have five people in the car, two adults, two teens and a pre-teen.
We like the electric power steering, which probably contributes to the great mileage.
The Malibu LT is very quiet also. GM of course isolates road noise very well usually.
Since we do our own oil changes, we were pleased to find the oil filter hanging straight down right at the front of the bottom of the engine. There is no need to even go under the car. With arm stretched out and a socket wrench, the oil plug can also be reached to drain the oil without going under the vehicle.
We drove an Impala, and the interior of the Malibu was actually larger in several dimensions, check it out. Also, the Malibu has a huge trunk that you won't believe.
All in all, we are very pleased with our Malibu and will stick with General Motors, hoping they can wise up and relieve themselves of the greedy wage demands of the United Auto Workers. God bless America.
