on by BorncesPros For an upgrade from the built in speakers on my iMac they are great. While the sound is somewhat lacking I was able to play them while walking on the treadmill and could hear them over the machines noise from 15ft away. I normally wear head phones.
Cons Its bothers me that they have an auto turn off feature when not in use but don't auto turn on when a signal is sent. You have to manually turn them on.
Summary These speakers look great and sound better than the computer speakers I was using. They lack the punch to replace a good book shelf speaker but would fill a small home office with plenty of sound. I got mine off Woot! for less than 100 dollars with shipping and this makes them a good value. However, had I paid the original retail price I would be disappointed.

Cons Sound, as reviewed, is wayyy too low. Cannot pay bass at volume without warbling and flutter - try any Amos Lee. Took mine back to the Apple Store - cannot imagine why they sell for $200.
Summary Not worth the effort.
