The DV84 towers are star performers for both video and music. Like the DV64, the DV84 are an excellent match to the DV62CLR-S center channel. The dual 8" woofers provide even greater output than the DV64, and extra bass extension from dual 8" passive radiators. Retro with a dash of fantastic

Review:
All of the old folks will feel at home with the sound of this speaker, AR3, JBL L100, etc. It's accurate, loud, efficient, wide dispersion tweeter and double passive radiators. Once you start listening, it's hard to stop, as records you've listened to for years, suddenly have nuances that you've never heard. Even CD's give up things I've never heard before, ex: "Don't Know Why" - Norah Jones, absolutely fantastic, however "Come Away With Me" - Norah Jones, electronic enhancement or bad mike, but totally unheard on my previous speakers. Another example of it's detail is: "Tangled Up in You" - Staind, and the plucking on the guitar is common, what wasn't, however, was the fingers sliding on the fret board.
There is a an issue with their design that doesn't sit well with today's buyers, who don't seem to have a lot of patience. My speakers really needed about 40 hours of use before the highs, mid, and bass reached their optimum output. A lot of folks don't like this, and send their crossovers to folks like Ed Frias to be modified. The crossover works quite well, and the detail is in part to the crossover. These modifications raise the mid, mutes the highs and gives a false output, and cost extra money. My recommendation is by a low end B&W and get this kind of sound out of the box, otherwise you might ignore this kind of recommendation on other sites.
I highly recommend this speaker for quality and value.
