"expensive and overrated" on by blackbeagle
Pros: Small and compact
Cons: Not overly impressive
Summary: I just bought a new Sony XBR4 46" HDTV and wanted to right sound to along with it. I am currently using an AR center speaker I bought in 95. It sounded pretty good but I thought I would get an upgrade so I went to Best Buy and bought this. Went home and hooked it up. Turned on the DVD and watched Saving Private Ryan. I was very disappointed at the clarity of sound. Don't get me wrong. it's not half bad, but the sound from my AR was a lot clearer and louder. How can something that was bought in 95 be better than something that is brand new in 2007? I returned it to Best Buy the following day and am keeping my AR.

"A brick not worth the price" on by tbbaot
Pros: It has the Bose name but don't expect the Bose sound.
Cons: It vibrates and produces hollow sound. The drivers are so tiny the TV speakers are bigger. Spoken content is hard to hear.
Summary: Junk, over-rated, over-priced

"Way overpriced for sound quality" on by skipfinder
Pros: The best feature of this center channel speaker is its small veritical dimension. Unfortunately, that is likely also its downfall.
Cons: The sound quality is pathetic. It is dark and indistinct when reproducing dialog, which should be its forte. The old adage "No highs, no lows, must be Bose" surely applies to this speaker.

"Better than Centers that are under $100." on by CrazyforKlipsch
Pros: Smaller than most centers.
Cons: Muddy, hard to hear dialog. Has 4x 2.5 inch paper full range speakers in it.
Summary: This is a ok canter. I don't like how it has just full ranger speakers in it. It has four 2.5 inch which Bose calls twiddlers. The sound is very muddy. No crisp clear highs, not really any lows, the hell with mids just mud. It is nice looking and is small so its easy to place put i'd rather a big bulky center with a tweeter and two woofers. I sold this Bose to my friend and got a Klipsch RC-35 and I love it. Better sound all around. Two 6.5 inch woofers and a big tractrix horn tweeter in the middle. Now movies and music is more detailed.
