Summary: At first I was skeptical about it but I went for it after purchasing a new plasma. Wanted a cleaner look and install. Usually things that sound too good to be true usually are. Who would believe you could get "Surround sound from 1 speaker? or in this case several speakers in one sound bar. I picked it up on line at www.hideflifestyle.com, they had it listed for 1099 and after calling them they sold it to me for $999, no tax, free shipping, and a nice warranty.
The quality is top notch, and the sound after hooking up was awesome. Had friends over after installing it for a get together and my old surround speakers will still mounted on the ceiling (not hooked up). I have it powered by a Pioneer Elite receiver and under the Pioneer Elite 60" plasma, and a Cerwin Vega 10" sub. We were watching Punisher and everyone said the sound was great. Even from the kitchen you could hear the array of gunshots coming at different directions. No one believe initially that the D.T. sound bar was directing all the sound, the thought it was a big center channel speaker and the old surround speakers were still installed. I couldn't be happier with it and would recommend it to anyone who has limited space or wants a simple, sleek install with good sound. I think I would still go for the separate speakers in a huge media room but for my living room that is 22' by 20', it sounded great. I ran all my wires (power, HDMI, speaker wires) through the walls. The only issue I had was the tight fit for the speaker wires. Mine is mounted on a wall so a table stand wasn't needed but would be nice to have that option.
