    Pros quality sound at low volumes

    Summary I am using these speakers with a Yamaha receiver. I have no subwoofer or any other speakers connected to the receiver.

    I was hoping that these Pioneer speakers would provide adequate bass by themselves. They don't. I've tried different settings on the receiver, but the speakers still emit limp percussion.

    Most of the time, it's not a problem because my wife and I listen at low volumes. However, it would be nice to have some bass while cranking music or watching Blu-ray. Guess I'll buy a subwoofer after all.
