  • "Best value for the money"
    on by Traugy21

    Pros Terrific sound, powerful, inexpensive

Cons modest bass production (not a problem with a powered sub)

Summary I bought the B1000 series speakers to replace my old Sony speakers which cost only $50.00 about 7 years ago. These also were $50 from Circuit City. I was in college and we had a party, probably 100 people in the house and had the Sony receiver I have turned up all the way playing music for over 5 hours. Eventually the volume became too much for the old pair and they blew, but they never once distorted the sound, even at maximum volume until they blew. I already knew they sounded great so I knew exactly what I wanted to buy the next day, the B1000's. I use them as my main speakers paired matching center and surrounds and with an Onkyo sub model SKW-204 a 230 watt 10" sub. I enjoy very loud music and movies and the B1000's with the sub sound excellent. I would never consider spending more money on another pair of speakers that probably will just let you down.

I hope this helps you make a decision.

  • "These speakers work well with my receiver!"
    on by scottramsey24

Pros I bought these at Circuit City to replace some older speakers. My room is not a large room so I thought these would do the job. Pleasantly surprised with the sound. They sound really good with my powered sub and Yamaha HTR 5930 receiver.

Cons The only fault with these speakers in my opinion is the crisp high clears could stand out a little bit more. I comensated with a Polk Audio CSM center channel speaker

  • "Superb Sound for the Price"
    on by wiredchicken

Pros Good Sound, good bass, and great for watching movies and tv!

    Cons Only in Black

Summary If you are looking for speakers for watching TV and watching movies, these speakers are the right ones for you! I bought these from Circuit City and brought them home and hooked them up to my tv and they sound better then Bose! The bass of the speakers are good, the sound is crisp (there also is no crackling noises) and you will want to sit and watch movies for hours with these speakers. These speakers are especially good for if you are looking for surround sound speakers and they are also good if you just want one set of speakers for watching TV. I would definitely recommend buying these speakers (but avoid Circuit City because they charge a restocking fee if you are returning them).

  • "Worth more than the price"
    on by gbreed06

Pros Great sound. Worth more than the price

Cons Only available in a black finish

Summary My personal tests ranged from classical to jazz and then hip hop, rap and rock. I was impress with the seperations and solid bottom. Will worth the price and more

  • "Nice sounding speakers, especially for the price."
    on by tigerkitty2

Pros Crisp Highs, clear midrange, the low end trails off perfectly for use with a sub at about 80hz.

Cons The tweets are a little bright, but that's easily adjusted out.

Summary For 49.95 these little wonders are well worth every penny.
They fit just about anywhere, and their looks and sound belie their price.
With 120 watts of power handling they should get loud enough for anyone's tastes.
