Good sound, good bass, cheap, cool looking

Cons

I am a college student and needed a good pair of speakers. These speakers are great. The bass can shake the floor if you want it to, and music sounds very pleasing. I only paid 80 dollars for these speakers and hooked them up to my very nice pioneer receiver. They are perfectly suited for main speakers. I recommend these speakers to anyone wanting to enjoy some good quality music or just add some speakers to their tv. The only thing that wasn't great is that the wire connectors on the back are just spring clamps, but that really doesn't bother me. The cabinets look cool to me, but the black plastic woodgrain may annoy some people. These speakers are kind of big. They are more like medium-small floor speakers than bookshelf speakers. I like the bigness though.

"Great value, great soundz"

5 stars  | on by flipicaneze

Pros

For the size, good full range. Can handle some power. Great price if you find the best channels. (Picked up from a Sony Outlet new for $40)

Cons

Very old school design. (could be a good thing tho)

I have these hooked to a Sony STR-DA5300ES as my starter speakers before going full blown surround. They work great for COD4 despite the full range dynamic sound nature of the game. Now I am reconsidering my plans for a Klipsch surround system and just build up piece by piece from what I got here.
