"Sleek design, cool phone overall, user-friendly. Cool apps, but lacking some basic phone features."
Pros: Gorgeous display, unique features (visual voicemail, cool apps), slim design.
Cons: No Microsoft office! Non-zoom camera and no video camera, slow EDGE network, no MMS (cannot send pics to friends' phones!!)
Summary: I've had the 16GB iPhone for 3 days now; I kind of had an idea of what it was like from owning the iPod Touch. It's a really great phone overall. I love the gorgeous display and cool applications on the home screen. It is a unique phone, and the Apple designers truly thought outside of the box on this one. I like the sleek, slim design, also, because bulky phones tend to be cumbersome.
I actually switched to this phone from a Palm Treo 680, and there are some things that the Treo can do that easily top iPhone, to be honest. As a college student, I found that Microsoft Office on my Treo was extremely useful; I was even able to bluetooth documents onto it from my Mac. I cannot do this with iPhone. Also, the camera cannot zoom and there are no editing features for pictures, such as taking one in nightmode. There is also no video camera. I also wish that I could text pictures to friends with MMS messaging. I am really enjoying my iPhone, but I can see why people have said that "It is not all that". I highly doubt that I could bluetooth ringtones to the iPhone, either. Considering that my dad paid $550 for the phone, it could have, at least, had some of these basic features.
But the phone overall is really innovative and user-friendly, and hopefully Apple will create some updates that include Microsoft Office and other basic features.
