    Pros: Speed
    MMS
    Tethering
    Voice

Cons: Speed - Because AT&T probably won't deliver. Should have been there all along.
MMS - Because AT&T will charge too much. Should have been there all along.
Tethering - Because AT&T will charge too much
Voice - Should have been there all along

Summary: The speed that can be attained from the hardware is very good; however, AT&T probably has a lot to do with that, and they have been far behind the curve for a long time, Did the Apple powers-that-be pick up on the laughter directed at AT&T yesterday when they were one of the only carriers who were not going to be able to service their customers without a litany of excuses and delays. Also, it is great that Apple is finally giving us some options that have been standard on other phones for a long time. And yes, it is nice that they do it in a cool way. But, those standard options should not be the primary selling point at WWDC. Not matter how you slice it, MMS is something that should have been on the phone all along. Don't make it out like you are actually giving us something amazing.

When I weigh the pros and cons, Apple is really not giving me anything. If I factor in the absurdity of doing business with AT&T, then I really don't have an overwhelming reason to continue to use the iPhone after my contract expires provided I find a decent alternative. I am on the fence.

I'm not real happy with AT&T either, because of them not allowing tethering, or insurance for the phone. They're a little pricey too. Still I think the Iphone is cool enough to put up with AT&T. I do at least get DSL internet speed on my Iphone, and I'm in a little town (Ashland, OR).

This review is a review of AT&T mostly, not the iPhone. Thus it should be ignored.

obviously this so-called "review" is nothing more than an attempt skew the ratings. sad and pathetic.

At the end of the day AT&T is one of the best carriers in the country and you are blasting them. Who would you like Apple to go to next Sprint. Give me a break. Apple had AT&T wire their entire wireless network to prevent people from being able to send MMS and then all of a sudden they want to allow it, so AT&T now has to erase all the safety nets they had in place to keep people with jailbroke phones from being able to send MMS. I used to have Verizion and now have the IPHONE 3G and I've never seen faster data transfer rates on a carrier before. Stop blaming AT&T like Apple does and blame able for releasing the same phone every year with a few more things unlocked when they could have offered all this from the beginning.

Are you just "mconnect" reposting under a different screenname? Both of your posts do exactly the same thing, rementioning pros as cons.
The speed increase has more to do with what is happening on the device itself, independent of whatever mobile network it is on.
MMS *should* be included with your standard txt plan, as it is with AT&T's non-iPhone txt plans.
Tethering is expensive with whatever provider you use.
Voice control should have been there all along, but it's extended to the iPod with TTS feedback.
Your review is of AT&T, not Apple nor the iPhone itself.
