Pros - Nice cameras
- No complaints regarding reception (if you have case)
Cons - Very slow, especially when accessing Internet. Refreshing mail Inbox takes up to 2 minutes.
- Awful quality, the worst I ever had with any electronic devices. Problems with Headphones, headphones slot, sim card.
- Awful customer service.
Summary Will stay away from Apple products. I have heard from many people about similar issues with Apple laptops.
The only place you can get service at is Apple store. So you might have to drive 90 miles to the nearest store, wait in line (or make a reservation), just to get your phone cleaned and be told: "Come again if the problem persists". This way they postponed actual maintenance of my phone until my warranty expired, and they asked me to pay $149 for diagnostics of my phone. The store is PACKED with people with similar problems with their devices. This store is located in Jacksonville, FL, St. Johns Town Center.
So far I had problems with sim card slot (phone sometimes didn't see the sim card), with headphones, which got broken after 3 uses (replacement ones too), with headphones slot (after using headphones the phone still acted as if headphones were connected, i.e. it was basically impossible to make or receive calls as the phone sent audio to headphones, but not the speakers), problem with the only button (which sometimes simply didn't work), and some compatibility problems.
Pros -Excellent Reception (I currently have Apple's bumper case around the antenna, where I go to school I used to get 1 bar of edge service with my iPhone 3gs and standard phone I went home for the weekend and got the iPhone 4 and now I have 3 bars of 3G serv
Cons The battery life is good but I feel like it should be a little better
Summary This is an excellent phone and I am excited to keep it for at least two years. The iPhone 5 and maybe 6 will come out and I bet no other phone other then those will even come close to beating the iPhone 4 in quality of all its features.
Pros its wonderful
Cons really nothing
Pros Amazing apps, camera, video phone, resolution
Cons You will need to have another phone just to make calls. Between AT&T's terrible network coverage and Apple's flawed design, you will be lucky to make it through a call.
Summary Funny video sums it all up
New Iphone Can even make a grilled Cheese sandwich, but good luck trying to make a call on it.
Great OS w/ few limitations
Amazing music player, video player, and picture organizer
snappy when opening apps
AT&T's 3G is a step up from T-Mobile
Display is gorgeous
Not a huge fan of the flat back and square sides
Finger print magnet
OS is limited a small ways (Also it's not a true home run because of Androids 2.2 success)
Screen could have been bigger more me
16,32 GB that's all?
Summary I recently got rid of my Blackberry 9700 Bold for T-Mobile and switched to AT&T for the iPhone 4. I will miss my Blackberries email and texting features and the full keyboard. I am getting used to the touch screen. The texting and emails on the iPhone are good but nothing to write home about. Setting up my GMail account was easy but I ran into the problem of my inbox saying I had unread emails but nothing was there. Then a few minutes later my mail would show up. This could be AT&T and their notorious network or just how emails are pushed to the phone. The design of the phone is aesthetically but the feel is off to me. I prefer the feel of the curved iPhone 3GS in my hand. The glass back part of the phone seems like a good idea because it's suppose to be stronger and more scratch resistant, but already we have heard reports of the back being easily scratched. I am not a huge app person, but if there was one phone to get for apps, the iPhone is the king and then a Android phone. Coming from a Blackberry has made me appreciate apps more because, most Blackberry apps are just links to a website. The new processor seems really snappy and kills the BB 9700. My brother has an iPad and my phone actually opens apps slightly faster. I think this is because of the phones ram? While I would like the screen to be bigger (A subjective take), the screen itself is beautiful. Very crisp and bright. My BB almost looks washed out in comparison. I can already tell that AT&T has faster 3G speeds, but nothing amazing. Hopefully this will be addressed in the iPhone 4G? The cameras are a huge improvement, but yet again I am not the guy who takes a million Facebook pictures. I thought the front facing camera would be game changing but Apple.AT&T have put so many limitations on the use of the feature. The lack of flash might not bother some people, but for me it's terrible. Steve Jobs should just grow up and enable flash 10.1. Does he really believe everyone is switching to HTML5? Anyways even without flash, the internet experience is still top notch and kills my BB. The second gripe I have with the phones features/specs is the lack of space. I know Apple charges a premium for everything, but 16gb and 32gb isn't enough especially with the new HD video capabilities. I do appreciate the $200 and $300 price tags w/ a 2 year agreement though. Overall the phone isn't perfect, but just misses from being the ultimate phone.
