"iphone = idevice (minus the phone)"1.5 starson by independent__thinker
Pros: * interface is very nice
* email setup (sans GOOD) is slick and intuitive
* apps are many and useful
* screen display is awesome
Cons: * phone coverage - couldn't make calls consistently, kept dropping calls (even with case)
* corporate email through Good (mostly our IT department)
* typing takes time to get used to
Summary: The iphone4 is a sweet and sexy device. But I had great difficulty initiating as well as dropping phone calls at inopportune times. I'm currently a blackberry curve user on verizon and as sorely lacking the current crop of RIM devices is, the curve is still good for corporate email and the verizon is 2nd to none. I switched both myself and son to att to get iphones but was depressed to have to return it after 2 weeks. I really wanted it to work out. My son has subsequently gotten the htc incredible. I have to say the verizon network is excellent for that phone and the data is unlimited. I'm resigned to my old curve for another year until something comes available on the verizon network. Hopefully the att network glitches will get worked out in the next year.
Perhaps an ipod plus a blackberry is the necessary combo, but it would be good to have one phone instead of two devices.
