"Better than my old Android (HTC Incredible)"
on by jlphilliPros -The #1 pro for me is IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY (issues with previous Android phone)
-Very responsive screen
-Screen resolution
-More user friendly
-More apps/games
-Siri. I actually find it very useful (reminders, calling/text, and finding restaurants)Cons -No flash support (although I haven't been inconvenienced yet...)
-Camera sucks when taking pictures in dark lighting
-No zoom on videoSummary The main reason I like this phone so much is because of how well it just PLAIN WORKS! The reason I think this is a big deal for a smartphone is because of the issues I experienced with my previous phone, the HTC Incredible. Issues I experienced were: 1.) my face hanging up on people (I heard this had to do with the HTC sense software?), 2.) my screen would "lose control" and randomly flip through the home-screens, 3.) overheating/shutting off randomly, and 4.) lack of games. I had to replace the phone twice...I have never had any problems with the iPhone 4s. My Fiance has a Motorola Droid X and has 2 of those problems as well, and his phone is rooted.
I forgot to mention the battery life is pretty amazing. I can play games/listen to music all day and I only charge it once every two days. I would have to charge my old phone twice daily.
I must say that in the past I was against all of the Apple "hype" and chose to go with Android for my first smartphone.
Unfortunately, I think by having too many phones and perhaps too many different Android versions out there, they aren't able to update them all in an organized manner and are left with some that are glitchy and don't work well at all. Of course, that is just my opinion.
Other PROS:
-I like being able to organize my music on iTunes. Despite previous comments, you CAN drag and drop songs into this from any library...
-Elaboration on user friendliness: If you're like me and you don't like to spend hours on your phone customizing widgets after every download and you would rather just have a nice clean looking UI, I think the iPhone is for you. I like that everything is uniform and clean looking, and that you can place your apps into unobtrusive folders. I also like that if you want to delete an app, all you have to do is simple delete the icon. You don't have to go through five hoops just to delete it and then wonder why it's still running in your background...
-iCloud: Really nice to instantly have your pictures on your home computer (even if you have a PC) right after you take them...don't have to worry about downloading them from your phone.
Other CONS:
-Sometimes Siri doesn't work. There are occasions where it(?) just says, "I'm sorry, I can't process your request right now," and you want to yell obscenities at it(?) instead. Not sure if this is a carrier service thing, or if it's the center where the info is processed (overload).
-Doesn't come with free navigation, although I found an app (MapQuest) that offers it for free. It's not the best, but it works.

"Great phone, little improvement made from the iPhone 4"
on by nicholasaishkPros High quality still photo camera
High quality 1080p HD video camera
Nice small and sleek design
Fast
Good speakers (for a phone)
Siri is a fun feature
Improved graphicsCons Little improvement from last generation
Battery life mediocre (due to dual core processor)
Screen size a bit smallSummary Highly recommend the upgrade from the iPhone 3GS or below, but not the iPhone 4, there are differences but is not enough to cover the cost of buying a new phone.
If you're looking for a highly quality phone, with a great camera, excellent design and has access to iTunes, App and iBook stores, then this is a highly recommended product. -
"Overall a good smart phone, but not great camera."
on by moonmvPros I really enjoy all the iPhone 4S has to offer.
Cons I won't be getting rid of my Canon Elph camera or my Flip Camcorder soon, both of these out-perform these functions on the iPhone. For example, it is very difficult to take a good picture of a moving subject. In order for Siri to work you have to ask ver
Summary Good but not great phone.
Verizon works fine for me.
