    "Hardly an excellent phone"

    by JRU62 on October 4, 2007

    Pros: I'm still looking

    Cons: Read CNETs list

Summary: CNET's rating system baffles me. It states that speakerphone quality wasn't the greatest, the talk-time battery life was on the shorter side, it was sluggish at times, picture quality was subpar and they had problems acquiring a GPS fix. Somehow that rates an 8.3 Excellent? Huh? Is CNET so hungry for something other than the iPhone that it'll give anything a good rating that connects and has Mobile6?

Dude, you are reviewing their review, not the phone. Come on.

Get a life! Don't you have better things to do than review a phone that you don't own. You're wasting your time and my time.

But then you go on to say, "so desperate to find a phone other than the iPhone."

Just let me point out that the iPhone got a similar high ratings even after things like, "Speakerphone was weak" and "call quality was subpar" So essentially the iPhone was good for anything BUT being a phone.

Next time just stick to knocking the ratings rather than knocking it because you want to hyper your precious iPhone.

The review was based on the how the editor felt about the phone. I am assuming that the wealth of features and overall performance outweighed the negative aspects of the phone. CNET also allows users to rate phones based on how it performed for them, which help readers to make purchasing decisions. I do not own this phone yet, but have been researching other sites, which also rate this phone fairly high. Anyway, if you buy this from AT&T, and don't like it, you can return it within 30 days of the purchase date.

I agree. This phone looks like the fake iphone that's out there. an 8.3 while the iphone gets an 8.0 with all that it can do? I guess 3G and GPS is 5 points on there scale. The photo in the review looks horrible. Bulky? Who buys bulky anymore? Also, as for battery time, in todays world thats huge. Internal memory? Is it a full functioning music player and play video?

CNET - Don't let Bonnie touch another review after this one.
