"Review Specs are slightly off" on by charwhee

Pros: More memory, better Ev-Do, better screen at a low price point

Cons: Not top of the line

Summary: There are three changes to this phone which the reviewer has either overlooked or was unaware of:

    1. The memory is NOT 256MB, but 512MB, which is one of the reasons it can handle Blackberry OS 6.
    2. The version of EV-DO is Rev.A, no Rev.0, which means that it will handle data at a significantly faster speed.
    3. This phone has a greater resolution, 320x240 (granted not that great, but still not as bad as before).

Perhaps the specs changed after the review, but I would suggest amending it to better reflect the advantages of this phone. For me, it's 4 stars based on the features relative to the price-point.

I think these are all reasons that make this phone appealing at the price-point - and I'm not getting paid to say that either!

"You got the specs wrong. even the guy above me." on by Deathcommand

    Pros: Memory, BlackBerry 6.0 compatibility,

Cons: Low resolution screen, Uses REV O to handle data, Lack of Camera Flash

Summary: This phone is an entry level device comming in very cheap but it is still unable to handle speeds as fast as say a Bold. It won't make much of a difference unless you are tethering because it goed through RIMs severs anyways but it is a luxury that is nice.

Also. The processor that is is posted as is not 624 mhz. It is most likely clocked around 550. The 624 processor that the 9700 uses, (Cortex A[a number goes here]) is only compatible with GSM phones. This processor matches the Bold 9650.

    "Basic smartphone" on by pookeh

Pros: It has a functional physical keyboard. Optical track-pad makes navigation easy for a non-touch screen. Great selection of ringtones out of the box.

Cons: Very basic apps out of the box. SMS, email, and calling features feel very early 2000s. Internet browser can be slow and clunky.

Summary: This is a good starter smartphone. If you don't care about all the latest and greatest features and don't mind being years behind the times and you aren't trying to impress anyone, then this can suffice as a decent daily driver. It has decent PDA functionality to help you stay organized.

I would not recommend buying this full price ($300 unlocked). In fact, it may not be worth paying $49 bucks for it on contract. I would suggest that if you're upgrading to a smartphone for the first time and you are a Verizon customer, then you should try to score one of these off eBay for really cheap. I paid $10. I really don't think this phone is worth more than $10, as it is already outdated tech. No sense overpaying for something so basic. Plus, by buying it cheap through a third-party, you won't impact your next upgrade. This could be a good gap phone for those coming from a feature phone who are eligible for a discounted upgrade in 3-6 months. So if you are holding out for the iPhone 5 or the next great Windows or Android phone, then the Curve 9330 should hold you until then.

"Blackberry 9330 has a requirement for a good smartphone" on by Ahhamado

Pros: Blackberry 9330 has a requirement for a good smartphone. rich in standard features like wifi and bluetooth connectivity. gps for location and features of the standard media player with support for external storage media.

Cons: This camera is clearly not intended for the lovers of photography. quality of the camera, and the results are very poor image beckoned you photography lovers to get away and find another solution.

Summary: All current smartphone features can be found in 9330. and for the Indonesian market, 9330 was a very adequate solution. considering the cdma market in this country offer a cheap solution and internet communication are certainly much more stable than the gsm network that already crowded, irrespective of the solutions offered by telecommunications providers.

sacrificed photography features; and you got it all, connectivity, communications, locations, multimedia in one pocket without making your wallet burst.

Pros: I dont really like the touch screens but I love to facebook, twitter, and check my email and text and this phone is perfect for all these things. Plus I listen to my Pandora radio all the time. Don't have any real problems with this phone. Would recommend

Cons: freezes sometimes but touch screens freeze even more.
