"I hate some reviewers." on by lilsim89
Pros: Slimmer, lighter, and ever so sweet.
Cons: STILL NO WIFI! A black model would be nice.
Summary: If you haven't a true opinion, don't post. My 10 is to counteract you imbusiles.

"Great if you like complicated!" on by dllester
Pros: Slim, light, fits well in a pocket, doesn't crash when you look at it funny
Cons: Overly complilcated menus, can't take video, terrible for text messaging, won't show html emails
Summary: As a former Treo user, I have always heard wonderful things about the Blackberry. I finally gave in and switched from my buggy 700p expecting nothing but greatness. I have so far been nothing but disapointed. The menus are way too complicated, it takes umpteen million inputs to send a simple text message, calendar entries take way too long to enter....nothing is simple anymore!! I can't even set the hot keys to applications. I am returning it and heading back to Palm with my tail between my legs.

"8800 is 1000 Times Better" on by budbundy2001
Pros: Camera and that's not even that good
Cons: No GPS, Super Slow Speed, Half of these are defective
Summary: Well as much as I try to get use to the Curve I can't. The speed is so slow that I could turn on my computer, wait for it to start up, and type a paragraph before the Curve goes to any website that I type in. The pictures all look overexposed. This is a very bad phone. The 7290 was better. Also the 8800 looks so much better. I hate this phone.
I admit I didn't like the Curve at first but since the OS was updated 3 times it ran much better. Wouldn't it be great if people would get a life instead of saying stuff like, "Let's see, this guy gives the 8800 a 10, and then a week later he's giving the Curve a 1 for slow speed, when both have the same speed connection.

And if he's so thrilled with the 8800, why was he even trying the Curve?"

"BlackBerry new "Curve" 8300 Vs. the new 8800" on by BillNYC
Pros: Spell-checker / Larger keyboard
Cons: No Wi-Fi or 3G support...
Summary: The BlackBerry 8800 is still be a better fit for power business users with its GPS and 3G support functionality and lack of a camera (an increasing security concern at the workplace - no cameras at all in high level security companies). If you have the 8800 like i do, than stay with it. Why Blackberry ever put a cameara in it? I don't know why, weird...

Picture an 8800 with its tie loosened and a couple buttons undone, and this here is pretty much what you'd get. Hot on the heels of the aforementioned 8800, RIM has officially taken the wraps off its hotly anticipated (and well scooped) 8300 "Curve," a device that takes the standard QWERTY BlackBerry formula and throws in a handful of consumer-friendly features for good measure. Clearly at the top of the list is a 2 megapixel cam with integrated flash -- but other goodies include comprehensive media support (WMA, WMV, and H.263 all make the cut), stereo Bluetooth, a true 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD expansion for when you exhaust (quickly) your 64MB of internal ROM, and a 15.5mm thick shell that's pretty stylish by RIM standards, no 3G but it does support EDGE.

Sorry that was a type-o. The 8800 does not have 3G support but it does have EDGE support.
I am going to up my rating on BlackBerry Curve to a 8. I did just pick one up this weekend (6/23/07) and i do like it, i still have my 8800....
