    its very customizable.

but the typing needs a little getting used to...
not to mention you have to take your time to enter in your custom dictionary words. but its no biggie for me. i am very satisfied.

    "S**T PHONE!" on by cheesegrows22

Pros: Good organizer, good for keeping track of things

Cons: I have gone through 5 phones in the 7 months I have had the phone. So many technical problems. The browser isn't all that great. Doesn't have much in the way of apps. Runs SLOW! When playing music, gets even slower. Track ball is horrible.

Summary: This is a crap phone and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I payed the out of pocket price for it because I had only had my old phone for 7 months and I wanted a smart phone. So it was $250 and $50 "rebate," which I never received, $15 for a rubber cover so it would stay in hand a lot easier, and $10 for a car charger, and... $100 extended warranty coverage which I will have to pay another $100 just to redeem. So $425 later, I have had to replace it because it would A) shut itself off B) track ball stopped working C) froze a lot D) all the keys stopped working E) the front fell off. I have only dropped the phone once, no water damage, and yet I had all these issues.

AT&T was more than willing to replace it, but it was the half hour drive and the gas to get there to have it replaced 5 times is a giant waist of anyone's time. I have met so many people with the same phone that have had the same basic issues as I have had. DO NOT PURCHASE! NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND TIME!

"This is a terrible phone" on by Frank735

Pros: You can make calls with it, it does get email, and it's the right size

Cons: Locks up all the time, requiring pulling the battery. Loses call histories for no apparent reason....

Summary: THE WORST PHONE I'VE EVER HAD. I regret getting rid of my Razor, that was a great phone, this phone stinks.

"Lots of features, but compromised keyboard." on by smettler48

Pros: Versatile, full-featured phone, easy to set up. Good feel in the hand, readable, bright screen. Responsive controls, positive keys and buttons. phone sounded clear, and reception was great. Advanced, helpful predictive texting.

Cons: Find the antonym for intuitive, and you've found the description of the Pearl's menus.
    Keys are a mess...

Summary: I took my Pearl back to AT&T after 4 days for two reasons:

    1. Menuing is not intuitive. Have to memorize where some sub-menus are. Found it very difficult to navigate. Long menu lists have many lesser-used items above often-used items. Important features are sometimes in the 3rd level of menus!

    2. Printing on keys is stylized, and very difficult to read. I realize that because most of the characters share a key, the printing must be smaller, but designers had priority over engineers when it came to the keys. My close-up vision is not perfect, but I don't use reading glasses for anything but the tiniest print, and I struggle with the printing on these keys. To make the problem worse, the rows of keys are in a wave, not a straight line. This problem was the deal-breaker. I consider myself pretty "techie" for a 60 yr. old, but I couldn't deal with these two problems. I've probably had 10 or 12 cell phones, and this was the hardest to operate. Traded it in for a Samsung Eternity (touch-screen), and I love it.

"Cool Phone, short on customization" on by Randyabi

Pros: Quck phone. The download speeds are comparable to lowgrade cable speeds, or DSL for the internet access. The Integration with google maps made it easy to get turn by turn directions from the address book without paying for the preloaded service.

Cons: Customization for ring tones was easy enough for each person in the address book, but customization for other featurs like vibrate for one user, but ring for another was lacking. Also lacked the ability to play youtube or mp3's from email attachments

Summary: Good medium grade phone. Lacks the luster of an I-Phone or other top of the line products, but beats the heck out of lower end flip phones. I would recomend this phone to anyone wanting a good multi-function phone with GPS but doesn't want the I-Phone price that is looking for just below business level use.
