Pros: -The BB OS is very quick
    -3G
    -great email support
    -3.2 MP w/auto focus
-screen is the same that's on the 8900 (T-Mobile). It's great!
    -256mb of RAM
    -keyboard
    -call quality is great
    -world phone (ships w/SIM)
    -true multitasking

    Cons: -no WiFi
-if you're coming from a phone that's not a BB, the OS will take some getting used to.

Summary: WiFi wasn't a deal breaker for me because personally I don't think it's neccessary. If you have coverage, then 3G is enough. If you need to use WiFi at places for work reasons, then buy a laptop and stick with a regular phone. I actually enjoy typing a text message or email on this thing. The keyboard is similar to the Bold (AT&T), just a little smaller. Blackberries aren't just for corporate business people anymore, it's something that everyone can use.

hmmm BB with WiFi... well it sounds like a good idea but if you cannot connect to the WiFi where you are, what good is it? Like having an iTouch, I want one but what good is it without the ability to access the WiFi... perhaps I am (as my friend calls it) tech-tarded?

To be honest, the only place I use wifi is in my house.
But if someone doesn't want to pay for a data plan then this phone is a waste of money without wifi.
Whatever it's a deadline, because even Sprint, with it's crappy service, knows that a phone at that price should have wifi.
    it's that important.
BTW Sprint has lost 991,000 customers in quarter 2 (in three months)
Verizon has gained 1.1 million customers
ATT has gained 1.4 million customers

Cooper33, how often are you somewhere that has WiFI? If you use it at work then you are probably on a connection that is should amoung a lot of different devices which slows down the speed of it. So speed wise, in some situations, 3G and WiFi are close to equal. So for me, not having Wifi wasn't a deal breaker. You should check all the facts first...They didn't say all future Blackberries to be released in 2010 would have WiFi, they said they will be releasinga BB Tour in 2010 with WiFi. As for other smartphones (not just BB's) they have given a deadline for manufacturers. Here is the article I am referring to, http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10284011-1.html . Yeah, not that important.

I think you're just lying to yourself about the whole no WiFi thing, for it should have been a deal breaker becuase every phone, at that level and price, should have WiFi. That is why Sprint released a statement saying that all future Blackberries for 2010 will have WiFi. Yeah, it's that important.
