Pros: Calll quality web browser, qwerty keypad camera, Media Player, Blackberry Maps,
stylish, feels good in the hand

    Cons: Lacks WiFi

Summary: I had the ENV Touch and lovved it. But there were issues with Google on Mobile Email and unable to use my gmail. It had been close two weeks and still not resolved. I had 4 days left to make a decision and I decided to go with a Blackberry. Before going into the store I had made up my mind on the Curve. This is my first Blackberry and when I saw the Tour I immediatley changed my mind. I have not had any problems using it and figuring it out. The more I find out and learn the more I love it and wonder why it took me so long to get a Blackberry. I absolutely love this device. My only complaint is no WIFI and the battery life is short. I can go a full day and if not used a lot can get a day and a half. The EnvTouch was short on battery life as well. But I still like it and it does charge up quickly
I highly recommend this Blackberry. You can't go wrong. I have two brothers and one of them is also with Verizon. He said he would never use a Blackberry but since I have told him how great this one is, he has checked it out and plans to upgrade.

Love the Blackberry. Glad I made the switch. People complain about the battery life. I have suggesitons. Lower the brightness on the LED When not using BT make sure to dissconnect on the phone as well as the headset. if you can't use your phone at work then just keep it turned off. vibrate mood does use more battery juice. Close out of applications when you leave them. Delete text messages and emails after you send them immediately. Don't let them add up and you have to sit there deleting them one at a time. Freeing up your space also helps the battery last longer. I wish Rim would allow their devices to check all and remove all at once and not one at a time. That is my main complaint coming from a regular phone. But all in all I love the Blackberry Tour. I like the trackball too Don't know why there are so many complaints about it. I don't have any issues with it.
Thumbs up to the TOUR It is a great device.

I really studied the device and knew a lot but took a class offered at VZW store this past week. I did acquire new information and it has helped a great deal. You can delete more than one item at a time and was shown how. Can also reboot without taking off the battery, showed me an app to download that will reboot without battery being removed. I also lowered my LED even lower to 10 and that has also helped with battery life. Get the Tour you will LOVE IT

I had the Env2 and The EnvTouch. I had no problems getting used to the qwerty on The Tour it is easy to text on. Not plastic feeling. Just is an all around great BB
Hands down beats the Storm !

how do you have 5.0 it isn't out yet on the Tour Only the storm

Since I have received my replacement Tour, there have been no issues of any kind. The trackball is perfect and also my Tour no longer freezes up. I am very pleased with this device. It bothered me that the new BB's that have come out now have WiFi but I have full 3G coverage and really don't need it. If anyone really doubts how the Tour runs, I can assure you it is a fantastic device. I just wish the alt key didn't need to be pressed down to use the numbers. That is my only complaint but it isn't a deal breaker. I also like how the QuickPull application eliminates removing the battery for resetting the device. If anyone is unaware of this, it is available on the BB apps. So worth it. Your phone will run a lot more efficiently if you reset it daily.

I read constantly about having to take the battery out to reboot the phone. This is NOT necessary. I am surprised the Verizon reps who sell the Blackberry devices to their customers don't tell them about the Quick Pull download in the Blackberry applications. This enables you to reboot your device WITHOUT removing the battery.
And also, it is recommended to reboot daily. You can set a time schedule and hve it done automatically for you. It doesn't take a long time to reboot either.
So, everyone who reads this, download this application and make your berry life easier !

well it has happened the trackball is sticking and device is freezing up I will have my replacement on Thurs and I hope all will be fine. Up till now all was fine. I am disappointed it has to be replaced. And I wish VZW would release the new 5.0 OS for it as well, but the Storm is getting all the attention now.
