"One tough phone"5.0 starson by Steve4782
Pros: Turn by turn navigation (that many smart phones can't do - I'm looking at you iphone!)
Easy to use
Incredibly tough - see the summary about the roller coaster drop
Very thin and sleek
Cons: Too thin - difficult to hold and falls out of pockets easily (although this could be fixed with a case)
Speaker for speaker phone isn't very loud or clear
People I make calls to complain the microphone garbles my voice sometimes
-all minor complaints
Summary: I've had my incredible 2 for a little over 6 months and it's a great smart phone. One of my favorite features that many smart phones don't have (iphone's for instance) is the turn by turn navigation. This phone will function exactly like a standalone GPS in your car telling you verbally when to turn and the name of the street your going to turn onto with a moving map displayed on the screen.
But, here's the big thing, this phone is incredibly tough. I've now dropped it three times. I've dropped it twice while pulling it out of my pocket and haven't had more than a scratch on the case to worry about, but get this, last weekend it fell out of my pocket on Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens. I heard a loud clunk near me as we were launched to 55mph and instinctively reached for this incredibly thin and slippery phone; it was gone. Long story short, Busch Gardens called the next day having found the phone under the coaster. I asked how many pieces it was in and he told me "Just one, in fact I'm talking to you with it now!" There wasn't even a crack in the screen, just a big dent in the corner and the metal casing of the phone will need to be bent back into shape a little. I've seen iphones fall out of shirt pockets and shatter. This HTC, without any protective case, fell out of a roller coaster at highway speeds and hit something metal on the track on its way down. Obviously I had a little luck involved but this is clearly a VERY tough phone.
