"CNET should pull this ad"
on by iyoungblood1Pros Great phone, (my son has one)
Cons This is the old bait and switch advertising. Once you click the link and you are re-routed to a Sprint web-site, but the HTC Hero is the only option to purchase.
Summary I have sent an email to CNET and gotten no response, and called the 866 #, but when you talk to the Sprint agent, they say that you have to talk to the "Web Sales" department. The "Web Sales" department says that you have to speak with the "Retension department". They play this game back and forth, but all the while, they are trying to get you to buy a NEW phone. This is not what I expected to get from an ad on CNET. I know sponsers pay the bills, but this is not a valid ad and someone @ CNET should investigate. I sent an email to the CNET web department on 11/12/10 and so far no reply. Just the facts...

"After the Evo, I'm never buying another HTC product."
on by TotalBummerDudePros - Runs flash (iPhone doesn't do this)
- Easy to copy files onto the device, don't need iTunes (thanks Google)
- Looks nice (without extended battery)
- Works pretty well for the first 6 months or soCons After 1 year of moderate use:
- Battery life is absolutely horrendous (less than 6 hours of battery with minimal use) requiring me to buy a larger battery and bigger case to fit the battery
- Randomly reboots when doing ANYTHING
- Gets into a "reboot loopSummary When you're paying $80+ per month for cellphone service, this is just unacceptable. I'm NEVER buying an HTC product EVER again... I wish I could use an iPhone with Sprint, even though they don't run flash and are more expensive but they "just work" and you don't have to deal with this crap.

"all the phone I could ever even imagine"
on by bruceowenbullardPros large screen, fast browsing,
Cons wish it had a physical keyboard
Summary the ONLY thing I would change would be the lack of a physical keyboard

"This is a tease for a product and no way to purchase it"
onPros It would be wonderful if I could buy the advertised product at the advertised price.
Cons This is a lie. If they were really selling a refurbished phone at this price, it would be phenomenal. The only links on the page go to a description of a different phone at a much higher price.
