Pros I definitely understand why they originally named this phone Speedy, one touch and you are on your way to where you wanna go. I love just about everything about this phone except....
Cons It is hard to take pics of yourself bc you can only take a pic by pushing the button on the screen. Also, the speaker phone could stand to be a little louder. The $10 upcharge is not worth it bc the 4G is not in my area, so I wish that was optional.
Summary I am completely satisfied with this phone, especially coming from a Samsung Intercept. It is fast and very user friendly for my very first real smarthphone. I haven't been able to put the phone down yet!! It also has a very nice, durable phone cover made for it. Unfortunately for the ppl reading this review, I can't comment on the techiness of it bc I am not that tech savvy but my husband is and he was rather impressed with the phone as well. I initially wanted the Evo but didn't like the largeness of the phone. I definitely think this is an awesome alternative, especially bc I love having a QWERTY physical keyboard. I just have to get use to it. I would recommend this phone to anyone, you will not be disappointed. This phone is not supposed to be an upgrade to the EVO, just another option in the EVO collection. I was turned off by the largeness of the EVO, so when this phone came out I was excited especially bc of the keyboard. We all have our opinions but to completely knock it bc it is not exactly like the original is kinda preposterous to me. I love the phone.

"Fast, sleek phone"on by etalk
Pros - Nice screen, fast processor for anything including youtube videos, cool apps pre-installed, HTC sense, nice virtual keyboard, great audio, nice 4G speed. Screen not too big like the EVO.
Cons - kb hard to slide out, no number row, unless i have to enter the FNC mode. HTC needs to learn from Epic/Moment. But, the Shift's kb is sensitive and responds well with my typing and feels natural. akward usb charger on the left side. no cam button
Summary A great phone, especially i bought it for $100 with Sprint employee's $50 discount. If the keyboard is easy to spring out like the Samsung Epic or Moment, and it has cam button, and usb on the upper right corner, i would give it a perfect 10, given its price range & performance. Still an excellent phone and I like it very much so far. Highly recommended. I am now a fan of HTC phone.
Pros Excellent balance of performance, size and battery power. The slide-out keyboard feels very solid and works great. Phone is a very good size, enough to feel solid, not so big that it's hard to handle.
Cons Nothing significant comes to mind. I haven't had too much luck with the camera, though that may be operator error. The voice dial and voice search functions sometimes give pretty funny, though incorrect. interpretations of what I say!
Summary This phone is perfect for me. I've tried both the EVO and the Optimus. One was too much for me, the other not enough. The EVO Shift has the best of both, plus an excellent slide-out QWERTY key board. With just a little care, I get 2 days use out of a single battery charge. I haven't had great results with the Telenav navigation, as it often suggests pretty ridiculous routes. Overall, this phone is terrific. I couldn't be happier with it.
Pros For those who don't want to explain the "bulge" in your pocket, the Evo switch offers a slimmed down version with most of the benefits of the Evo/Epic. It's 2.2 Froyo is snappy and responsive despite the slower processor. Anyone for Angry Birds?
Cons No forward facing camera for video chat. HDMI output is non existent. Slower processing speed then it's predecessor and a 720p HD Camcorder. Iphone has a 1080i Camcorder which my buddy (Bpak) reminded me.
Summary You can't ignore Google's increased share of voice in the mobile/tablet market with Android. Early adopters have their eyes set on Honeycomb after CES 2011, but mainstream America is getting up to speak with the market. Open sourced apks make the Android legitimate competition for Mac. Why write a Droid heavy comment in an Evo Switch review? Because iPhone options and competition cannot be ignored. By allowing AT &T only to carry the iPhone, Mac has severely miscalculated and underestimated a relatively infant market. The Verizon partnership will be too late to slow down the Droid avalanche that is coming.

Cons The volume keys could of been placed better.
Summary It's a must buy for those who want a EVO (like me) and does not want the big EVO.
