"Day 2 with my Hero"
5.0 starson by GoingToAlphaPros: Please see bottom line.
Cons: Please see bottom line.
Summary: My Sprint store called me last night (10/8/2009) to let me know my Hero was in stock and ready to pick up. I got the phone home around 8pm and spent about 4 hours playing around with it, and another 3 so far today. It has customization options I could only dream about on my iPhone (Edge and 3G owner, from day one of both). The phone is smaller than the iphone, but fatter, which I am ok with, feels more comfortable in my hands than my 3G did.
Have had a request to comment on battery life - It is much better than my iPhone. I get about 20 hours between charges. That's with a twttier client, facebook, last.fm scrobbler app in background, playing music, sending receiving e-mail and text. Set to check twitter every 15 minutes. Backlight on for 5 minutes after key-press. I don't make many calls, so I cant judge that. Checks gmail and corporate exchange in background every few minutes. Definitely can't complain about it.
NOTES: People have several complaints about the phone that are pretty weak:
- the Hero wont sync with iTunes? No phone does, other than the iPhone. And any phone that hacks the way it talks to iTunes apple immediately fixes. Blame Apple, not HTC.
- Additionally people complain about the keyboard size - its Android, get on the app market place and download a new one, problem solved.
-It most certainly does support Exchange sync. I'm using it right now to get corporate email, calendars, and tasks.
Pros:
- Solid feel
- Removable battery
- decent camera/camcorder
- feels MUCH nicer in my hand than my iPhone
- MicroSD slot
- great selection of apps (its no AppStore, but I'm not complaining)
- auto-brightness much more responsive than my iPhone
- can run multiple apps at once, background apps (not push notification, actual background apps)
- Doesn't sync with iTunes (honestly, the WORST feature of iPhone was being tied to this behemoth)
- turn-by-turn GPS is FREE with a sprint 'everything' plan (although this is carrier specific and not phone specific)
- much quicker than previous reviews have made it seem, definitely more responsive than my iPhone(s)
- can pull contact info from Facebook right into phone contact (image, e-mail etc)
- plenty of fantastic apps out of the box
- can delete unwanted factory apps (apple weather, stocks, notes, and cal apps? pfft.)
- can use standard mini-Usb for charging/syncing. no $20 apple proprietary cable
- im sure I will find plenty more as time goes on
Cons:
- I will probably miss the beauty and ease of use of the iTunes player in my iPhone
- doesnt dim when you put it to your ear
- apps run in the background and sometimes you forget them (this is easily resolved if you download a process manager application from the marketplace)
As I've said, I've only had the phone since last night, but I am already glad i terminated my ATT contract. I get better reception in my apartment, I havent dropped any calls (id average at least two on my iPhone by this point in the day). This phone is customizable like whoah, and feels fantastic. Good call quality, visual voicemail, nice iChat inspired MMS and SMS chat timelines (definitely one of the best iPhone features, and surely one to copy).
Definitely head and shoulders above the other iPhone "killers" and definitely a worthy adversary to the iPhones dominance. I've been using iPhones since launch several years ago, and never thought I'd give it up. Today I'm glad I did.

Updated on Oct 12, 2009Definitely comes with Android 1.5. HTC will release 1.6 to the phone when they have SenseUI fine-tuned for the new additions the OS will surely provide. Still notice no lag.
- Read the article today on Engadget about how it is using an old rev of the EvDo (rev. 0), and will be patched by HTC in the future. Still noticeably faster than my 3G.
- Noticed today that the 10MB file limit imposed on the iPhone on Edge/3G is not present here. Very convenient for downloading podcasts on the go, as they usually sit around 25+MB.
- Sprint TV is kinda fun, I don't see myself using it often, but it is definitely functional.
- Love the ability to click settings on any song in on-phone libray and set as a ring-tone. Can even edit them right on the phone
- Love the auto-focus feature, while I can't see myself actually using the barcode scanning feature, it is definitely all kinds of cool
Thats all for now, more as it comes.
Updated on Oct 16, 2009My apologies to ra4purdue I don't know what I was thinking when I said tasks, I definitely meant contacts. Apologize for any inconvenience that error has caused.
Updated on Oct 31, 200910/31/2009 - So I have had the phone for several weeks now, and just wanted to update my review. I still have no issues at all with the phone. There are few minor learning-curve type issues I have encountered (did you know you can click+hold on just about anything for extended menu options? neither did I!) However most of these I would attribute to the generally poor quality of the manual.
HTC has yet to release a client that will work with Windows 7 64bit, but since I only use GMail the over-air syncing is more than good enough for my purposes.
The camera does use a bit to be desired, but as has been said on other blogs, can easily be fixed with a software patch, which we may or may not see in the future.
Still experiencing fantastic battery life and equally fantastic call quality.
You do need to turn off WiFi if attempting to download MMS images, etc. Don't know if this is a Sprint issue, an HTC issue, or an Adnroid issue. Took me a while to figure that one out.
Still loving it!
Updated on Oct 31, 2009FYI: There is a known issue that is currently being worked on by HTC that is causing the SMS application to not allow the phone to sleep. This is why some people are getting horrendous battery life. The issue is, according to the Hero forums, being worked on now, and does not affect all users. The solution is to download a new SMS application, go to a contact, and select send message. it will ask you which program to use, from here you can change the default to your new app. You can also get a task manager application (I use TaskKiller) and kill the SMS application every now and then. HTC will apparently be patching this issue as soon as possible (the joys of an open source OS is in the transparency of the issues).
I was not affected by this issue, but investigated it and the solutions (and how well they work) in an attempt to keep the review readers up-to-date on the known issues.
Updated on Nov 9, 2009HTC has announced that they will be skipping 1.6 and are currently qualifying an Android 2.0 release for the HTC Hero (this includes a 2.0-friendly version of HTC Sense UI and all comparability improvements for Sprint.)
Updated on Nov 9, 2009Ugh, compatibility, not comparability.
Updated on Nov 19, 2009Sprint released an update to the phone, details below:
Feature Updates and Enhancements
HTC Hero Software Enhancement SW 1.56.651.2 provides feature updates and enhancements to address the following:
? Improvement to camera picture quality
? DST (Daylight Savings Time) issue addressed
? Unable to receive SMS due to full memory
? Memory leak when Bluetooth is in connecting state
? 3.5mm mono when not using headset with mic
? Dialer application causing excess battery draw
Updated on Nov 19, 2009Having installed the new update to my HTC Hero, I can say the firmware update has made the phone move noticeably faster. The SenseUI is snappier, a lot of used system memory is freed up, Peep (twitter) widget is snappier. Camera quality is much better. Will post additional info as I notice it.
Updated on Nov 20, 2009Wow, they weren't kidding when they said speed improvements, they meant it! It's like a whole new phone after this update. I was getting close to feeling laggy with a bunch of apps running, but then this update came out and it's faster than it was on day-one.
Anyone who had any speed/lag/battery issues should maybe rethink their positions on disliking the phone. It looks like HTC did a fantastic job on getting these improvements out. And it was only a 3MB fix, not 300! *cough*apple*cough*.
Also, the camera quality has more than tripled. It is a functional camera now. The test before/after pics I took are like night/day difference.
Also added a few UI enhancements, some new on-screen buttons on phone calls. Also, I began using my Hero as an mp3 player recently, and noticed a quiet, tinny sound to music through car head-unit. Update seems to have cleaned up the sound and increased the media output volume. All in all, very nice update, makes the phone that much better. 5.5 stars?
Updated on Dec 4, 2009@sg4145 Yes you can stream from a website on the phone. No you can not do it while on a call. Due to the nature of the type of network Sprint/Verizon use you are unable to do anything network or data related while on a call. ATT/T-Mobile are the only networks that allow this. It's an issue with the type of network they run and NOT an issue any particular hardware.

@Stlheadake yes, i have a 16GB in mine as we speak.
Updated on Jan 14, 2010To reply to the questions I've left unanswered:
- Bluetooth - I have never, and probably will never, use bluetooth for any reason on a phone. As a result, I am unable to field any questions on the way the phone works with Bluetooth. Sorry, everyone!
- Windows 7 - HTC has launched Windows 7 compatible software. It is available here: http://www.htc.com/europe/supportDownload.aspx?p_id=283&cat=3&dl_id=847
- Battery - Several companies have released 3rd party batteries, http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/?r=15 is roughly 3x the capacity of the battery that shipped with the phone.
- HTC, as far as I am aware, is prepping the 2.1 release. although, there is a chance the SenseUI will be modified for this release. No date has been set.
Additionally, feel free to check out www.htcheroblog.com for up-to-date news and related product reviews.
Updated on Jan 22, 2010Haven't had any issues with the volume of the handset. The calls are clear, and everything is golden. I've been told the Pittsburgh area(where I am located) has exceptional Sprint coverage, so your mileage may vary.
Updated on Jan 29, 2010@PROGNOSTIC8OR I didn't see a question in there, so I can't exactly answer anything...
@davdfreeman I have detailed informatioon on how to update the phone. The version numbers are in the same spot, read through my updates. I am not sure about the "weather widget" I use the all-in-one weather/Clock/calendar widget, and it updates itself just fine. It just wont update while the phone is locked/asleep. If its not updating when the phone is in use, then it may be a network issue, as the info comes over the web (wi-fi or EVDO)
@JLEH01 this is apparently an issue on ALL spring phones, and I don't know why the store would factory reset it. Make sure your WIFI connection is DISABLED when you attempt to load the message. I had the same issue at first. I get great EVDO connectivity, so I just leave wi-fi disabled all the time. No use for it, if I'm near a hotspot, I have my laptop.
@jitterycoffee when you connect to Gmail account, syncs all Gmail contacts right to the phone.
Updated on Jan 29, 2010@JLEH01 all SPRINT phones, rather. Pardon the type-o.

Updated on Jan 29, 2010ANDROID 2.1 FIRMWARE UPDATE INFORMATION: According to sources at HTC the Android 2.1 ("FroYo") update should be available for the Hero/Eris sometime before the end of March.
There is no date, and as it has been pushed back before this is far from a definitive release time-frame.
Updated on Jan 29, 2010The "slow" release has nothing to do with Sprint. Since the HTC Android devices use the SenseUI (notice how they are a lot different in terms of usage and appearance than the Droid or G1?) the development teams need to re-apply all their custom code to Android once the OS is released. They can't begin doing coding and quality assurance on their upgrades until the kernels are released from Android.
If this was "stock Android" it would be one thing. The fact that we get custom UI, custom widgets, and custom apps above and beyond those that ship with Android, I'd say the wait is worth it.

Updated on Jan 29, 2010*** cNet. Why are you posting my comments on other reviews as "updates" to my own post? And why are they double posting? Get your **** together already. Embarrassing comment system.
Updated on Jan 30, 2010@PROGNOSTIC8OR I personally have never done it. You will probably want to do a bit of Googling and find out exactly how to do it for yourself. I have seen a large number of keyboard styles available on the Android Marketplace, but have not tried them. I am ok with the stock keyboard.
@GadgetWifey I have made several mentions of battery life in my review and updates. "3G" is a subjective term. If you are asking if it uses the same "3G" network as Verizon or ATT (which are completely different technologies), then no. It uses Sprints own high-speed network. "3G" is more of a marketing buzzword than anything. You should check to see if your area has coverage of the latest revision of the EVDO network. HOWEVER - if all you are using it for is texting, mail, and chat, perhaps a touch-screen is NOT for you. I would recommend going to a Sprint store and trying out a model first to see if you will be comfortable without a physical keyboard. As always, your mileage may vary.
Updated on Feb 5, 2010@JLEH01: Open messages, click menu button, go to settings. make sure auto-retrieve is on, and if you roam a lot make sure roaming auto-retrieve is on. make sure priority is normal. maximum message size is 1M.
Additionally, have you installed any apps between when messaging worked and when it stopped working? Perhaps one of those is causing you some trouble.
Also, try calling Sprint, ask for Advanced Support, don't even speak to the general support that answers. Tell them you want advanced. If the person refuses, just call back and ask. Eventually youll get someone. Have them re-provision your account and check all your settings on their end. This is NOT a restore, and will ONLY affect your settings at Spring, not on your phone.
And you are 100% that the wi-fi is completely disabled in the settings?
Updated on May 7, 2010Having been waiting the better part of the year for the 2.1 update only to have the date changed and the release pulled several times, with no actual release date in sight, I am thoroughly fed up.
Don't get me wrong, I do not want to detract from any of my previous statements, but their support on this phone is absurd. A phone that is not even 7 months old that is seeing delay after delay, while the same OS we have been patiently waiting for for months is arriving on their newer models.
If HTC feels that this is an appropriate amount of customer support then I feel safe in saying that I will never purchase another HTC device in my life.
So long as Apple releases OS's universally on the dates they announce, then I don't think they have much to worry about from HTC or Android. I will be switching back to ATT and an iPhone this summer when the new hardware is launched. I'll take a legitimate release and patch schedule over this crap any day of the week.

I will be getting my sprint htc hero on friday morning off craiglist i cant wait to slide through the 7 screens and this phone looks very sexy and neat and colorful will post a review after i test it out for hours ...
-
thank you GoingToAlpha for the great info and updates. Happy with my phone and all your tips. Hope you keep on posting on this.
Thank you
Dave -
Well I have talked to advance support. From what I am told this is an issue with this phone as far as the pic/video messages go. I was told to factory reset if I want to receive them. Support says this problem should be resolved with the new update coming out soon. They told me mid March. I doubt I will keep this phone til then. I told the store I want a refund and out of my plan. They said they will contact me in 7-10 days. I told them I cant believe that they sell this phone knowing there is an issue with it.If they don't let me out with my refund I will be forced to contact consumer protection.
-
The MMS issue is a known issue with all Sprint/Htc hero phones. I have had my phone reset numerous times and it still has the same issue. I've even had my phone replaced a week ago and have already had to reset my phone. Here is a website/forum for the same issue. It's nothing to do with WiFi or EVDO or anything else. It is the format that Sprint uses (according to HTC technicians)... Here is the website http://sprint.r.delivery.net/r/c/r?2.1.GT.2Z2.1dFZcV.Cg4Cl6..P.N8HI.3AMU.bW89MQ%5f%5fCIcCFKB0

I love this review! Not only is it very informative, but the typo updates were hilarious!
-
Well its been 1 week after the store factory cleared my phone, I was receiving picture messages and now Im not. Wifi is off. Still doesn't work any ideas. Im very fustrated. Called Sprint and they told me to clear all my pics off my picture mail account on their website online so I did which was a hassle since you can only do one at a time. I had about 200 on there. Took about 1.5 hours and still it doesn't work. I ready to throw the phone away an go to another provider.
-
I am torn between blackberry curve 8530 and htc hero but after reading your review..it helped me with the decision but i do have some questions for you..
How is battery life? Do I need to bring charger with me all the time?
Is texting fast on there and are you comfortable with typing on it?
Is it 3G ready?
Does it has AIM..Yahoo and msn messengers on it?
All I need the phone for IMs..emails..internet and texting..is htc hero what I needed? -
Sorry I didn't form my question properly. I really need to know, "How and what do I need to do in order to make the touch-screen keypad for texting larger?" You mentioned there is a way of making the keyboard bigger so that texting is easier and I just wondered how you did that? Does it make it easier to text? Thanks again for such useful reviews.
-
Have you had any problems receiving video or picture text messages? Mine stopped getting the twice now and the only thing that fixes it is a complete factory clear of the phone. Which the Sprint store has done twice.
-
I have had the phone for 5 days. The included weather app (HTC widget) does not seem to auto-update. Any suggestions? My phone is fresh out the box how can I see if the HTC Hero Software Enhancement SW 1.56.651.2 is installled already? If it is not how do I obtain it...directly via settings/about phone/system updates or via HTC website? If so how do I install it?
-
your review is extremely helpful! One big question I have is about text messaging. You said you can load different size text screens and use it in landscape or portrait modes. I had big hands and need the largest, easiest to use keyboard. I saw the Hero and loved it, but the screen was to small and hard to text on. I want to buy this phone, can you answer this in detail like your other reviews? Thanks a million.
-
Thank you for the thorough review. I might go back to sprint and get it (currently with Tmobile and out of contract, and considering my options). This looks like a really neat little device.
-
Thanks for the thorough review! I would use this phone for personal and business use. I currently use google for everything so this seems like an obvious win for me. I currently have an Instinct from Spring but really want something that will allow me to sync my gmail contacts into my phone. Thats the major downside to my current phone, plus having to access my google calendar through a webpage rather than directly on my phone. So can you dial directly from your gmail contacts and sync your google calendar?
-
Thanks so much for this review. I was having trouble deciding between 3G or the Hero... and you have made my decision easier. THANKSSS SOOOO MUCH!!!!!
-
I was in the store and checked it out...ordered it through Sprint telesales...and it was when I came home that I read more about it. I'm doing this bass-ackwards basically...but your review is very reassuring! Thanks so much for your information...previous and continued!
-
I really appreciate your reviews and continued updates....how is the phone part of the Hero working, is it clear with volume adequate for loud rooms etc?
-
Your review was excellent and was one of the main reasons I picked up the Hero a week and a half ago. I LOVE the phone and I only have complaints about using Bluetooth with it. Once a call is in progress, BT works fine. It is trying to initiate the call, handsfree, using BT that gives me fits.
Besides the fact that the Voice Dialer app on the Hero sucks (that is being kind), you can't even use it with BT. With BT connected, launching the Voice Dialer still requires you to use the Hero microphone and speaker and you still have to tap on the screen to confirm your selection. Also, visual voicemails will not play on BT either, although I assume if you called voicemail directly on BT, then they would.
I've read that these should both be fixed when HTC pushes out the Android version upgrade that has been promised (to 2.1 now?), but it sounds like the Hero community has been waiting a while for that.
Have you heard anything on the update and are you having the same BT issues? -
do you know is there an app that will allow play back of voice mails using the bluetooth headset? Iphone had the problem and then fixed it with the latest release. Also, i use about 8k minutes a month and phone battery life is not the greatest. I am still in my 30 day trail and thinking of bailing out?
-
wow, alpha, this is an amazing review! thank you so much! i'm picking up the hero tomorrow as my first smartphone -- jgami76 (dec. 4) asked if it would make an good first smartphone choice. i've read extensive reviews on the hero on many different sites and i wouldn't even know where to begin with asking questions (again, i'm finally leaving behind the world of "dumb phones") but i do have one -- and i'm sure it's a stupid question: this "upgrade" that you implemented...was it to the 2.0? here's the dumb question: will phones purchased since the launch of the upgrade already be 2.0? (sorry, i'm just learning about these smartphones :)
honestly, i am blown away by all of the features you've highlighted. i had no idea it had the pinch & zoom capability. i had no idea i could sync with my work email/calendar/contacts....thank you so much for cementing the deal for me -- HERO, HERE I COME! -
Is it Windows 7 compatible yet? I also have iphone (2G) am looking at other phones sprint seems to have cheaper plans, like the customizable options as well, i need a sprint iphone fix..lol
-
wow...so glad i clicked on your particular review. so helpful and updates you provide are fantastic. I appreciate it. I think my indecisiveness on which phone to get is over. Although it will be used for some business texting, i lean to a fun smartphone as i access weather for golf, stock updates, sports scores, online bill paying etc etc. The few remaining concerns i had over sluggishness etc i have heard about...seem to get addressed by htc thru helpful updates.
thanks so much for your review and updates. cheers! -
How can i update my Hero to run faster and stuff like u talked about on ur update earlier?
-
Thanks for the updates. I might have missed the answer to this, but does the hero have an SD slot (mini or micro?) Is it possible to expand external memory like I can with my HTC Touch Pro?
I am intrigued with this phone, but I am a known data hog. I have 8Gb on my Touch Pro, carry about 2K songs, and I don't know how many files. My phone IS my usb Mass storage Device. YES I have the Micro SD adapter to usb so I can pick up and dump files as necessary. -
Been shopping for my first smartphone for quite a while now. First choices were originally a BB or a Pre. Now been looking into the Hero. Like Mike (Nov 7 reply), would you suggest the Hero for a first smartphone?
-
Thank you for the great info...I have a couple of questions regarding the Hero...
1) can you listen to streaming audio from a website on this phone?
2) Can you receive a call while listening to music or surfing the web?
Inquiring minds want to know... -
GREAT review, please keep updates coming, was one of the deciding factors in helping me choose the Hero. I *LOVE* how "wranglingladys" whines about FANBOYISM, with no significant commentary other than trotting out the four standard, tiresome barbs that lazy reviewers constantly throw at Sprint's HTC Hero. A "better phone" is in the eye of the beholder - lots of people, myself included, are coming from the iPhone/iPod touch world, and prefer a virtual keyboard. The Hero's VK is quite good - takes 10 minutes to get used to if you're a VK fan. The Hero is not perfection. I do wish it had a flash, but the late Nov. firmware update drastically improved camera quality. And yes, the phone occasionally lags a bit if you're running four apps AND making a phone call, all at the same time. I think additional firmware refinements will chip away at this "The Hero has a crap processor!" argument. DEFINITELY visit a Sprint store to hands-on compare their 2 Android offerings, Hero & Samsung Moment.
-
Thanks for such an informative review with follow-ups. My wife and I spent some time at a Sprint store this evening playing around with a Hero. I was impressed with the phone and it's at the top of my list right now. We also checked out the Verizon Droid Eris which is pretty much the same as the Hero. I like the look and feel of the Hero better than the Eris, and Sprints Everything Data Family 1500 plan is better than Verizons 1400 minute plan. We still have a few phones to check out and hope to make a decision this week.
-
What a fan boy!!! Please give it up and get a better phone! Phone has a slow processor for its UI. Camera is bad and NO FLASH!!!! This phone is begging for a real hardware keyboard among many other things that were overlooked.
-
i dig yur info,..more than most already know of or aboiut Android, and the phone. Never have i found an answer to why they didnt include flash with the camera!,..if ida known,..and stupid me didnt ask,..i guess i just presumed it had flash. might've been a deal breaker, but compared to At&t's outrageous plans..i had to switch, and was also disappointed in the release here of the phone without the chin, which i thought made it more a masculine, tech looking phone than this flat tho handsome one. Its solid for sure. As for the music,..all u need to do is fill ur memory card and off yoou go,..and i did that using iTunes,.so i dont have any probs there either. Just wish i had the euro model, without the sim, and a flash.
-
Your review was very helpful... I would like to know does the fact that there is no proximity sensor get in the way our if it hinders the phone in any way?
-
Thank you for such a wealth of info....Had a BB Curve and after reading your reviews decided to try a HERO......LOVE IT !! could you tell me about the Process Manager APP....not familiar with it so not sure what to look for , would you have a name for that APP. Battery is my only issue , so as you said maybe things are running in the back round....Thanks in advance
-
Played with the Hero at BestBuy today. Between that AND your review, I'm completely sold. Thanks much for the info
-
Awesome, honest review, thanks indeed! I have been on the fence about the Hero, looks like it will be my new device as well.
-
Thank you so much for both a thorough and comparative review and for continuing to update it. I was on the fence, but your review of all the others is the one that has convinced me to go for it!
-
Great review! What do you think of this phone for a first-time smart phone buyer?
Mike -
I just wanted to say thanks to you for such a thorough review. I've always had the most basic of phones but friends and family kept getting the iPhone and showing me all the cool stuff but we really didn't want to switch from sprint to at&t so I started looking for comparison reviews and yours was perfect and so informative. I went and bought one right after reading it! Maybe sprint should hire you. So far I love it, just a little slow figuring it out as I am completely non-techie. Do you recommend any protection for the screen? Saw some of those clear skins online this morning. Thanks!!
-
This person does excellent informative reviews. Sounds better over all than the iPhone.
-
old rev of the EvDo...
(i work for sprint, this was in our communications...)
This is an error in the menu text only and the HTC Hero is fully capable of EV-DO Rev. A data speeds. A Known Issue (KI) will be posted for use by internal support organizations and www.sprint.com will be updated with an FAQ to address the issue. In addition, as soon as Sprint and its handset partners have tested the new Android 1.6 upgrade we will release it but no release date had been set yet. -
Thanks for this detailed review. You convinced me to give the hero a try I come from an Iphone 3g. I thought I would never be happy with another phone, boy was I wrong. I love this phone and I am completely happy.
-
You said you were able to get tasks off server...if so how and what program on the the phone are you using.
-
I had the Palm Pre for about 2 weeks and traded it in for the Hero because of the battery life. The Pre would last about 5 hours total with minimal usage whereas the Hero will last all day with moderate usage. I must say the WebOS was more finger friendly than the Android, but the Hero is a quality device. I had an HTC touch prior to the Hero so getting use to the keyboard was no problem. This is a great phone all the way around.
-
Thanks for this detailed review. I have three iphones and I can't stand the signal issues, call drops and pricing. I think I will hit up my best buy store this week and switch carriers.
-
I'd love to get your input on battery life...seems to be massive confusion on the interent...rated at 4 hrs but cnet got 5.75? I think the problem is that the htc rating might be from the gsm hero with the slightly smaller battery...
But what do u think of battery life?
thanks -
simply every thing i needed to know lol it feels like i wrote this review. I had the same issues with the iPhone and AT&t service...picking this bad boy up tomorrow with a new sprint contract thanks alot
