"Absolutely worthless - Unusable"0.5 starson by lionelhutz
Pros: Tons of features
Cons: Phone is completely unstable. Had it less than 12 hours and have had to yank the battery 5 times. Simply does not function.
Summary: What a piece of junk. I really wish companies would use a real Quality Assurance process before dumping products on the Consumers. Given that Verizon brags about their lengthy testing process before phones are approved, I cannot understand how this one passed. It is useless. It locks up constantly - worse than any other phone I have ever had, including numerous windows mobile phones. I have not even downloaded the third party apps because this thing cannot even run the core apps without locking up. Text messaging locks up. Email locks up. Even sitting there on standby for a while has caused it to lock up.One more point - this is no iPhone. The keyboard is very difficult and has a steep learning curve. The apps are also very limited and the phone is very, very slow. Even just flipping it to landscape mode requires you to wait a while for the screen to adjust.
I have yanked the battery out 5 times in the 1/2 day I have had the phone. In fact, I have popped the battery door off so many times (which is hard enough in and of itself) that it is already loose. Removing the battery door is impossible without some kind of tool, so keep one handy since you will have to yank the battery out of this thing every hour.
The last windows mobile phone I had was the Samsung Omnia, and it was also very disappointing. Why do I feel like these phones are rushed through QA and they use customers to find the bugs? I cannot understand who let this phone out the door, but they should be fired. Not sure if it is the HTC hardware, the user interface they layer on top of Windows Mobile, or if the problem is Windows Mobile itself, but whatever it is this phone is rubbish.
