"had it for a month, hated it more every day"
Pros: large screen, keypad, good reception
Cons: went through 2 in 30 days, lots of bugs, SLOW, reset 3 times a day, phone would be inaccessible when i needed it
Summary: i came from the treo 700wx to this mogul.
i was so excited to receive this phone, hoping that wm6 would be a good upgrade to 5.
i am a physician and used both the pda portion and phone portion regularly. i needed the phone to work when i needed it and the pda to be snappy for medical applications. this device was neither. hoping it was a defective device, i even exchanged the first one for a new one. it had the same problems. i was having to resst it 3 times a day when programs would freeze (even with HTC x-button). the crazy thing was, BOTH of them would randomly refuse to allow me into the phone application (either by hitting the green talk button or through my contacts), and i would be forced to reset just to make a call!
the lag on this thing was HORRIBLE (again, even with x-button) when starting apps, or opening the keypad.
voice activated dialing has to be trained, or you can buy the program from windows.
when the phone is charging, if the screen is shut off, you don't get alarms or reminders (both of the phones did this and i've read elsewhere that others are having this problem).
as a power user who needs constant access to email, voice, text, and apps, i DO NOT recommend this phone. stick with the palm os, or the wm5 treo (the only reason i got rid of it was it died one day, a year into use). the treo had SOME lag, but not like this.
again, i tried this phone for over a month and got 2 different, brand-new devices that failed me miserably.

Seriously, I love my HTC Mogul, even more since it dropped into the tub with me ( don't ask
and after I dried it out with some hot lamps for 2 or 3 hours, WHAM! Works like a champ again. It's fast, fun, easy to use. I did upgrade the card to 2 gb? but I don't think that affects the navigation issues he claimed to have and I do get messages, alarms etc while charging. I LOVE this phone! -
i totally agree with you on the phone. Me and my husband both have these phones and have nothing but problems with these phones and are going on like number 3 or phone each. The phone will lock up and it has to be taken to the shop and then they have to order new phones becauase of them not being able to be fixed. Others have said maybe it is the applications running to lock up the phone, but me and my husband do not use the other applications on our phones except to make a call and use the phone book so we have nothing else running to lock the phone up. Again, my husbands phone has locked up and I have to take it to the shop again. The worst part about it is you are without a phone for a week or so when they have to continue to order phones to fix the one you have. I do not find this a great phone and am going to be calling Sprint today on these phones if it can not be fixed in the store today as my husband uses his phone on a daily basis being in the military and waiting a week is nonsense.

Most others been giving this phone a 9 or 10. I wonder if you were using a particular program that was causing conflicts? Was it Epocrates? Puzzling. A similar model is said to be coming to Verizon, called xv6800, and I was planning to look at that. However, if it won't offer GPS navigation like my trusty LG 8300, I'm not buying!

Have you heard any good suggestions on what to get instead from any of the other doctors? I am pretty much in the same situation.
