Summary: This review will be for my experiences with the HTC One V from Virgin Mobile. I researched this phone extensively prior to purchasing it through Virgin. I saw really nothing but great reviews. Needless to say I am terribly disappointed with this phone, not to mention Virgin Mobile US. Now, I will qualify this review that I don't necessarily know if this is the phone or Virgin, or both. I received a new phone and within a month or two it malfunctioned. After going through the factory reset hoop, Virgin Tech Support claimed it was a touchscreen malfunction and proceeded to replace it. Now keep in mind Virgin's replacement policy is crap. After 30 days, you get a "refurbished" phone...ok, let's be real..you get a used phone. It wasn't a week and I was having the exact same issue. I called, they made me do the factory reset, which didn't fix it. They sent another used phone. Same problems been happening, along with other overall performance issues. I have the full boat service. I live and work in a main metro area, that has coverage. I don't find this phone to live up the reviews I read. It's laggy, still having the touchscreen issues. Now I realize the lag could be a result of the crap service from Virgin. I'm sitting here looking at my bars and I have 3 out of 5 and I should have full bars where I live and work and no, it has nothing to do with being inside. It's just what I get. But I also find that running apps, the phone does not perform very fast. I spend a lot of time waiting a long time for things to load/process. I had issues with the camera on the first two phones, pictures would come out with a yellowish tint and all the phone settings were correct and tech support couldn't tell me what was wrong.
Honestly, I think there's issues with this phone and definitely issues with Virgin. I only like Virgin for the no contract, reasonable plan costs-but you pay for it with crap service, crap customer service and crap tech support. I would not do either one again.
