  • "Wifi performance absolutely kills this phone"
    3.5 stars

Pros: It is amazing in nearly every other respect

Cons: Hold the phone in your hands or place on a surface, and you lose wifi signal

Summary: Going from an OG Droid, I was about to break a contract for this phone. Within 36 hours of ownership I could tell it would drive me crazy long-term so it's going back to Wirefly. It is a spectacular Android device, and I won't repeat what has been said.

But I need a phone to carry a wifi signal throughout my home and in my backyard, as I can control my music with it. I have built a wireless network infrastructure to cover every inch of my property. I have a Linksys WRT54GL in my office next to the kitchen, and when I put the phone on the counter to make a cup of coffee, I lose signal. Maddening. Dining room, no signal. If you need a solid wifi device, this isn't it. Google HTC death grip and you'll see I'm not alone. Damn shame.
