"Great Phone! ....with a few gripes" on by ThomFromNC

    Pros: -Design
    -Qwerty Keypad
    -Texting and Email
    -Simple, Easy to Use
-Super Reliable; have had hardware/software issues
    -Call Quality/Speakerphone
    -Decent Battery Life
    -Easy SD card access

    Cons: -Limited Available Apps
    -Limited Browser Functionality
    -Utilitarian UI
    -No 3.5mm Headphone Jack

Summary: This was my first smartphone. In the store, it was between this one, the Blackberry Curve 8530, and the Palm Treo Pro--the latter was immediately scratched off the list as it froze on me 2 times in the store! Anyway, I ended up going with the Snap, no regrets.

Pros: The design is good. I prefer it to the Curve, actually. The battery cover is a soft-touch plastic and the phone overall just has a quality look to it. The keypad is really nice too, and I'm able to achieve good wpm, despite it being a bit cramped. The keys have a matte plastic finish, and click nicely. In large part because of the keypad, the phone is a beast for texts and email, both of which are accessible on the home screen. The UI is simple and easy to use, if a bit stark and utilitarian looking. You adjust your home screen settings, somewhat, to suit your liking. As far as reliablility, I have had no issues with this phone in the year I've had it. The Call quality is great, in speakerphone mode as well. The Battery Life is good, too. The phone will typically last me two days with moderate use. The SD card is easily accesible under the back cover, on the side without removing the battery. You can install apps onto the SD card which is really convenient.

Cons: All that said, there have been a few disappointments. There are very few apps for this phone. You can get access to some by installing the windows marketplace app. Many of the apps available there are priced at around 9.99, however. There are some apps available online, but you have to hunt for them. Even then, installation involves transferring the cab file from your computer to your phone manually, then opening the file in your phone. The Browser is also pretty disappointing. Any site that isn't available in a mobile format often takes 30-60 seconds to load. You can solve this, somewhat, by downloading Skyfyre or Opera mobile, both of which have their own quirks. Not having a regular headphone jack is a bit annoying sometimes, too. It does come with one, but it's bulky and awkward and I usually avoid using it if I can.

All in all, though, it's a great phone. Reliable, Good Battery Life, Easy to Use, A Beast for Texting and Email, Good Quality. Basically, it's got it where it counts.

"best buying online sites" on by win2save

Pros: The new HTC handset is the HTC Snap which is the latest QWERTY smartphone from the mobile manufacturers. The Snap measures 12 millimeters and has specs such as a full-QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA connectivity, a QVGA display, GPS capabilities, Wi-Fi and Bluetoo

    Cons: hard to find application

Summary: Just connect with www.win2save.com and find maximum discount. A very valuable and useful online shopping website wherefrom one can compare and get to know the details of a product sitting at home and office.

"Very Good Phone" on by mcharbeck

Pros: Windows Mobile 6.1 with Office apps
    Big Keyboard
    Good Battery Life
    Easy to Use
    Excellent Call Quality

    Cons: Alltel coverage
    HTC proprietary USB connector
    2.0 camera
    IE Mobile

Summary: I am a techy (software developer) but found setting up & navigating blackberry way more complicated than it needs to be and hated how its not compatible with everything. Traded my BB for the SNAP and I love it. The Snap has same / similar processor to new Blackberry curve 8530 so the phone is fast. Windows Mobile runs perfectly on this phone and it is very easy to use. Syncs with your Windows PC without loading a desktop app. Downloaded all my contacts and set up my work e-mail connection in literally 5 min and was up and running. No incompatabilities like with BB. Battery life is great! I've gone up to 3 days between charges with moderate use. Apps are available for it but not so much all in one place like with blackberry so you have to look around. IE Mobile is not very good, but download Opera 10 for mobile, it runs great and you can view full web pages. If you're looking for a simple, easy to use phone that just works with everything without a hassle (that means you BB), this is the phone for you.
