Pros: Sexiness of Iphone and Windows Mobile combined
    Excellent screen clarity
    Weather app is amazing
    TouchFLO 3D is amazing
    World Card Mobile
    5 row Keyboard
    RAM and ROM
Every Feature you need in a device

Cons: -Battery Life could be better
-Sprint should have kept the original HTC black battery cover

Summary: I have been using PDAs since 2000 and this has to be the best product thus far, I have graduated from the HTC Mogul, Treo 700p,650,600,300, Kyocera 6035, Visor Platinum, and Handspring Visor. The HTC Touch Pro improved on the shortcomings of the HTC Mogul which were few. The VGA screen is flawless and I love the addition of TouchFlo 3D, I was able to transfer the majority of my Windows Mobile applications that I use on the Mogul. There is a transfer conflict on a few third party applications that were only made for QVGA screens, but not for my major applications. PPCGeeks can help you out on where to find the best third party apps that are TouchPro specific. I am able to use all of my 2000+ contacts, set up my calendar, use Notes and MS Office, get business email, msn email, and custom domain email; use as a modem for my laptop, watch youtube, play music while I workout with BT headphones, take 3.2 megapixel pictures and videos with a flash, use 3D Free GPS with Sprint Navigation, Read my bible in 4 different versions (laridian.com), watch TV, go to all my favorite websites in a great view with Opera 9.5, WiFi is great but I don't use it, and I save everything on my 8GB micorSDHC card that I used on the Mogul. If you are upgrading from an older Windows Mobile Pocket PC device all you have to do is save your information with SPB backup 2.0 on a microSD card and then restore your information on the TouchPro. With the application, WORLD CARD MOBILE you can take the picture of a business card and save it into your contacts, Amazing!!! If you are really looking for a powerful PDA that does it all, no need to look anywhere else, I have played with all the other toys that are out there and I know their specs and limitations, The HTC TouchPro has none.

You mentioned that you can use 3D Free GPS with Sprint Navigation. Does that mean you need to subscribe Sprint data service? Can I just use its build-in GPS with my own navigation software and maps. I have DELL PDA running windows mobile 5.0 which comes with navigation software and maps. I want to use these software and maps on this HTC Touch Pro so that I don't have to subscribe Spring data service. Is it possible?

Sorry for the late response people, been hanging out at www.ppcgeeks.com alot...LOL
    kevinballsd.....Thanks Good Information
    jpcboca.....kevinballsd answered that.
MonteyHaley.... it can handle my 2,000+ contacts, calendars, memos, word docs, etc.
PackBJammin....You can changed the Font in Laridian Pocket Bible 4 from 7 ft to about 18 font depending on your preference, I keep mine at 11.
    momthementor....Thanks

I would also suggest going to ppcgeeks.com and load a custom ROM to make the phone even better,I recommend, Might ROM's, improved battery life, faster and sexier interface, extra goodies, etc.

This phone can be used as a gateway. Different from using it as a modem. Just think of it as a Router that you use at home. The internet comes into the phone therefore you have the internet for the phone but there is a registry edit that you can do to unlock the gateway function for the phone.

Sprint by default will not allow this or tell you that it can be done. If you decide that you want to buy the phone. Let me know and I'll give you step by step to configure the phone to do the whole internet thing.

Sprint will not tell you that this can be done becuase they want you to buy the highly priced dial up version of the internet for the phone.

Think of it this way. The phone has unlimited data going into the phone. If they told you that the whole free internet can be done they will loose out on the Dial Up Data Plan they got seperate to get your computer using the internet through the phone.

You mentioned that you can "use as a modem for my laptop". I currently have the original Sprint Pocket PC and can use as a modem and want to upgreade to the PRO. But before I do I want to make sure that I will be able to maintain this function. Do you use Sprint data and did you have to do anything special (like install drivers) to get to work as a modem? Thanks for your reply

I am currently looking to replace my Palm Treo- which I found to be inferior in many ways. I too have been a PDA user since 2000 and have graduated from the Handspring Visor to an Ipaq 4100 series and unfortunately to a Treo- at the suggestion of a novice. My concern is its ability to handle data: 2,500 contacts, Heavy calendar use and Word and Xcel docs. The original windows Treo I had crashed all the time and I was instructed by Sprint Tech support to go with the Palm Version. It didn't crash, but couldn't search my contacts by company(^%&?!). I recently lost it, and am looking for the utopian Pda phone that can handle data...Is this the one?

Can you see more Laridian bible text with the higher resolution? I have a friend who purchased one, and it looks like on MS Word, 8pt font is about the same size, in inches on both devices. So in Word, the Touch Pro's resolution got him more rounded text, instead of more text than my Mogul.

If it can display 4 times as much text, than I might make the plunge. Using the MS Word test however, I'm not optimistic.

SBR_L3GION Thanks alot....I see your screen name on PPCGeeks.com

gRrYnN-My speeds are EVDO and better than 700kbs, Its very fast, I really can't tell if I am on my home cable WiFi or my Pro tethering. Once you get the Pro go to PPCGeeks.com and you can find the .cab file and directions. Its a very simple process. I am using it now as we speak .

Nice review. I have a few questions specifically related to using the HTC Touch Pro as a modem for your laptop. What speeds do you get? 700kbs or better? Is it hard to set up? The reason I ask is I have an older sprint phone and a sprint mobile card. I want to upgrade the phone and get rid of the mobile card in one fell swoop ... and the HTC Touch Pro seems to be a great combination of the two.

    Thanx in advance ...
