  • "Bad warranty and after-sales service. Bad manufacture"

    Pros: Good resolution

Cons: Cheap charging port. Good product idea but manufacture uses very cheap components. Not worth the money.

Summary: I really like my cellphone until the charging port is broken after 8 months very gentle usage. Then I compared the microUSB port on my vivid with my kindle and my friend's Motorola Antrix, even from the appearance the other two seems much more durable than my charging port. There is a very small black plastic piece hanging in the center of the smaller charging port on my vivid. When I first bought it and plug in the usb charging cable, I feel some resistance but it still went in so I did not pay a lot attention. As time goes by the charging port is twisted continuously as I need to charge it every day. Eventally one day the plastic piece is not in the center anymore, which makes it impossible to charge or transport data. I called HTC and say it is within the warranty and this is your design flaw. They say the warranty is limited and most likely they would charge me more than $100 to repair it! There are many people experiencing problems with HTC's charging port and a good device is just destroied by a less than one dollar cheap component! Unbelievable!! Don't know what HTC people are thinking... Are they intentionally doing a favor to their competitors?? I used to love my HTC now I have to think about other brands...
