"Almost perfect; nifty all in one device"
Pros: Great form factor, amazing all rounder, wifi, bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS fantastic, excellent battery, more than decent camera, very good call quality, WM6, Slider keyboard
Cons: The screen should have been a little bigger, but what the heck, this is the best way they could devise in this form factor
Summary: I created my CNET account specially to post my review for this beauty.
I'm one of those who searches and researches for a gadget online and then make up my mind to buy one. And I'm not disappointed by the excellent reviews this phone has been getting from various users / critics.
Its an excellent device, the phone feels like a conventional candy bar; in fact its smaller than my Blackberry 7110V and the Sony P1i!!! The sliding keyboard is a killer, people can't believe there is one under the hood.
The camera is quite nice and the pics are quite alright, not orangeish as claimed. The voice quality is excellent, the battery life is very good for a device like this. My apprehension of it not syncing easily were put to rest when this champ synced effortlessly with my home PC in a jiffy. I carry most of my music, photos, some videos, a divx movie and some data on the nifty 2GB microsd card i purchased separately.
Although I haven't checked out how WIFI works on this (its been only 3 days since I got this phone), the blue tooth, EDGE & GPRS work like a charm. I have also found a 3rd party app for Gtalk and other messengers as all in one and now I'm always online!
The keys are a bit small, I'd admit but I'm getting used to it. A friendly advice - If you have big nails on your thumbs, pls cut them short as you're gonna be using your thumbs a lot!
All in all I'm very pleased with this phone and hope to make best use of it in the future. Just so you know, I'm in India and bought this for a little less than $300!
