HTC Wildfire (Alltel Wireless)

Pros: solid build.
Micro-SD slot.
Has everything Android needs like 3g, wifi, sd slot etc.
gorilla glass, responsive touch technology.

Cons: Too slow for most apps. even too slow for the stock Launcher and most other launchers I tried.
display has not enough pixels too show most apps.
slow internet on 3g and wifi.

Summary: First off, the display has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels which is by far not enough to run properly run android. many many apps require more pixels and therefore apps will be shown wrong.
the Display itself is incredibly bad. it's very blurry.

second, the CPU is a drag. It's so slow that the android version that HTC preinstalled won't run fast enough for most tasks. it crashes a lot with HTC sense.
I rooted the phone and installed CyanogenMod 7, it runs al little bit better.

I understand that this phone is meant for people with a small budget.
but I regret that I bought this phone anyway. I wish I bought a "dumbphone" in stead of this Smartphone which is just too slow.

I highly recommend other people not to buy this phone. Android however is great OS.
buy a phone like the galaxy series from Samsung. thats a good android phone.
