Summary See what is really going on inside this sidekick by reading below...
So as a tmobile customer, i have always thought the sidekicks were amazingly cool. I wouldve gotten one, but i thought the regular ones were extremely ugly......that was until they came out with this Juicy Couture pink sidekick2. The moment i saw this of course i fell in love and paid the full $450 to get the phone. TERRIBLE MISTAKE.
There are many things that are wrong with the phone. But ill start out with the good.
*The outerface looks are adorable and catches everyones attention.
*The sound of the ringtones are great
*The screen in very big
*The keyboard is very easy to access
*Feels special because people not using a sidekick have no clue how to work it.
*Internet and email is nice
*AIM is great, its real, not cheap like the ones on regular phones
*Speakerphone is decent, not too bad
*Great service-always has full bars
*Too big, makes you nervous if you dropped
*Echos when talkin on the phone
*The color resolution is not very good
*Camera is terrible
*The screen is easily scratches because it is not covered
*Very limited in customization
*Only holds 35 pictures
*Looks like a gameboy
*Battery life is short
*No alarm clock, calculator or any other important accesories most phones have (you must download and pay to get them)
*Without the $20 internet with tmobile, the phone is worthless (cant download any games or items or ringtones)you can only make calls, text and take pictures.
*Main menu can somtimes be slow when scrolling
*Be damaged easily, ie: walking in the rain, going into a steamy room, in the bathroom while showering.
*Letters and numbers on the keybad start to wear off.
*Phone begins to overheat very fast
*Not well built, by just holding the phone, you would understand what i meant
*Buttons on the top and bottom sides of the phone get dirty easily
*Only holds 100 text messages then deletes them.
*Not a variety of downloadable tones
*Cannot change the wallpaper
*Buttons begin to peal off
*Address book and phone book are confusing
*Phone freezes a lot
*Theres many more
When first getting this phone, i loved it, i loved the attention and just looking at it made me happy. After months of having, it becomes very annoying, you find it very bulky and hard to carry around, especially if your a guy, and it beings to malfunction like crazy.
Overall my recomendation to you is that if you want the phone for attention, get it because everyone will be looking at it forsure, but if you want it for quality purposes, i would say stay away because it really is a bad phone besides the looks of it. But not only is the phone bad, Tmobile itself is terrible and because of their bad customer care, i am canceling my contract with them and switching to verizon which i am hoping will serve me better.
Anyways for those getting this phone, good luck and for those choosing not to, great choice.
Pros The Juicy Couture Sidekick III is not only a better and much prettier step up from the regular ugly sidekick, but it's filled with fun ideas and practical uses.
Cons I can't find much wrong with it- If i had to state something, I would say the internet is not lightening speed fast. But, on the other hand, if you're looking to surf the net, use a computer!
Summary First, let me inform all of you potential buyers who are reading these reviews that you have to consider, first of all, what kind of person you are and if you could really use this phone. If you are very involved in business and work, it's not the best find for you- you could use something else like the blackberry. but if you're looking for a personal phone, and not a mini-computer to take with you everywhere, its perfect.
Although the main reason people won't buy it is because of the slowness, let me be defensive by telling you that if you're going to surf the internet, use a COMPUTER! the internet on this phone is not best if you want to do some heavy internet-ing. But if you're on a bus, in the car, at school, the airport, etc., its fun to search things from google, or check your email, etc.
I think the people who expect the most of of phones are the ones who will write a bad review. But since I don't run a company (yet) and don't have to be in CONSTANT contact with people, the phone is a GEM and works wonderfully. I get service pretty much everywhere, use it to talk to family and friends, surf the net, get my email on it, AIM my friends, and a lot more.
If you're girly, love pink and juicy couture and aren't looking for a high-tech lightening-speed phone, this is your best bet.

"Fun as hell."on by MixMasterBean
Pros great skins, fun/easy to use
Cons horrible camera, need to buy extra package, no OS
Summary Okay, I'm a metalhead that was in search of a "different" phone. I happened to find it in the Juicy Couture edition of the SideKick II. Being my first SideKick, I got pretty damn excited. I finally got it and it's gorgeous. It's definitely fun to use, with its flippy-uppy screen, it's full QWERTY keyboard, and rolly-scrolly thing. Dispite its few flaws, I've found ways around them. You have to get a seperate SK package by T-Mobile for $19.99/month. It's not bad, considering you have your e-mail, AIM, downloadable themes, and unlimited text/picture messaging at your fingertips. The camera is absolute ****, though. Don't even bother. It's easier to carry around your digicam in your purse for seperate use. I was pissed to discover that there is NO OS for SK. Danger's definitely on my ****-list for that one. Otherwise, I highly recommend this phone. <3 it.
I was so excited when I got this phone. It was awesome. After awhile, though, you just get annoyed... you have to keep flipping it up just to dial, the speaker phone is TERRIBLE, it's clunky, the pictures are also TERRIBLE. I wouldn't recommend spending that kind of dough for this kind of phone. Trust me.
