Pros it's got an easy to ready, brightly lit display and the camer can swivel

Cons call quality is terrible, I can barely hear the other person and they can barely hear me. there should be some time of lock for the sliding body since it moves to easily. camera is terrible

Summary nearly 2 years ago I bought this camera because it seemed pretty nifty for it's price range. as of 2 months ago I fully regret that stupid decision. It was bad enough to have poor call quality and a camera that looked like everything was shot through Vaseline but it all took a dive for the worse when the display started crapping out on me. Now whenever I slide the phone open or close the display turns blank white and I have to wait until it shuts off completely before I can hit a button to see anything again. Yes, that 's a 5-7 second wait before I can navigate, text or read any incoming messages.

What a joke and of course it all went to crap 3 months before my 2 year contract ends and I can replace the door stop of a phone.

Instead I dug out my old 6822 and I'm amazed at how much nicer of a phone the 6822 is, the call quality is twice as good and the little camera actually takes clearer pictures.

Once again I learn the hard way about waiting on buying new technology.

    Pros Many features

    Cons Not Reliable!

Summary Unreliable! Original phone has been replaced with same model 3x in 1 year + 2 weeks. Each time would not power up. 1st replacement was within 3mo of purchase. Fortunately 1st 2 replacements were under warranty. 3rd replacement required $50 insurance deductible. Insurance would not let me escape LG brand. Highly Discourage purchase.

    Pros MP3 player

Cons Battery life, poor camera, Bluetooth problems

Summary I got this phone for the built-in MP3 player. The price was pretty low at the time, and I see why now. Ten months after getting the phone, the battery life has dwindled from mediocre to pathetic. I now only get about 3 days of standby time on a full charge, down from a week or so. The camera, which had a few glitches like occasional black screens in the beginning, has given up the ghost and completely stopped working. Pictures and video were never terribly clear, even at the highest resolution in bright light. The bluetooth on this phone is also spotty. Syncing it with my Motorola headset is trial and error sometimes, and wandering more than 15 feet or so from the handset results in static. I see that Cingular has discontinued this phone, and not one day too soon. This experience has left me wary about other LG phones in my search to replace this one. Several LG models seem to have the same battery and camera issues. I can't recommend this phone even at bargain basement prices.

Pros Charge holds longer than most I've had

Cons Awkward, "touchy" buttons, volume is odd, drops calls

Summary I hate this phone. The only redeeming quality it has for me is that it is the first phone that holds it's charge for a decent amount of time. Other than that it stinks. The worst part is the odd, protruding buttons all over it. It is so SENSITVE it makes calls that I don't. I have had friends tell me that my phone calls them and I am not there because I probably hit (gently) one of the buttons. It also is nothing to see that the camera phone is on because..you guess it, the buttin panel sucks.

You can't even look at this phone without something going off or on. The volume is muffled at times and don't try using any kind of adaptor such as a headset because you need to hold the plug to the phone while you are talking.

It's so bad the person who designed it should be fired.

    Pros multimedia accessibility

    Cons picture and call quality

Summary I enjoyed the phone for a period of six months then it broke down on me and I believe that I might change to the LG CU500
