"Worked well, WHEN it worked"
on by Teenie0365Pros Qwerty Keyboard
Cons Windows OS, cannot unlock any other way then by touch screen.
Summary I purchased 2 Expo's in January, 2010, both are broken. Windows locks up, no one at AT&T or LG can provide any information about reloading Windows or how to solve the problem. If the touch screen breaks, you can't use the keyboard to unlock. Once the phone restarted and wouldn't boot passed the Windows screen and cannot reset it to factory default. Basically, 2 phones and both are broken, one in 3 months, the other after 8 months.

"Very good phone business smartphone."
on by weeleewigPros Speedy processor, very good call quality, good display and QWERTY keyboard.
Cons No stylus holder / unreliable WinMo (crashes)
Summary A very good business smartphone. I love the speedy 1Ghz processor. I got this phone because I interoperate with Microsoft applications all day including home and didn't want variations in what I use. This is a very good mobile upgrade from my older AT&T Samsung Blackjack (WinMo 5 and 6). Not to keen on the LG UI, but it is more usable than the factory-default WinMo UI. The deployed WinMo 6.5.2 crashed on me, while receiving a call and text from the same contact person. Unrelated to the phone, WinMo market share is dwindling due to Android and iPhone out there

"The best smartphone currently available!"
on by mrchadlangenPros The Expo is rich with endless features. You can spend hours a day just figuring out new aspects. The casing is incredible, built with a metal plate that everyone thought was introduced with the Iphone 4. The projector is amazing!
Cons The only problem I found with the Expo was that there wasn't a designated slot for the stylus. Everything else is damn near perfect and I don't think I'll ever want to replace this phone unless it's with the same phone.
Summary I've never had a better cellphone. So many phones claim to be introducing new features when the LG Expo already has them. It's such an under-rated phone. The display is beautiful, the sound is very clear and all in all, this phone just consists of so many features that were designed with care. You can really see the effort put into every feature the LG Expo offers and that's what I love. You're not just getting a Media Player, you're getting a Media Player that allows customization and organization of your files. Not to mention, every says the Marketplace is small, but that's just one of the many marketplaces the LG Expo has to offer. There are at least three other marketplaces, each with thousands of free apps, that critics fail to mention exist in their reviews. Long story short, you can do just about anything with this phone. Before purchasing the Iphone 4, you should take this into consideration as it has everything the Iphone 4 brags about including the metal casing, videosharing, wi-fi, 5 megapixel camera and all that stuff.

"Not the best Phone(expo 820GW) from LG !!"
on by Freedom2UPros Sleek, nice looking phone, loaded with features. Best Camera and Video with Zoom. You have to subscribe to use nice features else this this is like any other phone. Nice keyboard.
Cons Terrible phone, slippery, lost entire config's once and ATT or LG has no explanation. Any BB user you will be making a biggest mistake to switch windows version of this phone. you think you switch to vibe mode, it actually turns the phone off.
Summary Nice look smart portable device, but dont buy this if you are a heavy phone user. Its slow and usability is terrible, all the side controls are not in reach of phone user. Requries multiple tapping on the screen to select anything. Only 1 poor design outlet for charging and audio. ATT's solution is to reboot for any error. Any phone related feature is a useless, such as searching for a contact takes 10 times longer then any ordinary phone. Dailing new numbers is also slow. Every so often requries sending reports to rmicrosoft when it generates errors for any programs and then the fix is reboot the phone.
I caliberated screen several times and gave up, taping is not as sophisticated as i-phone.
Dont expect on ATT to answer any questions if you have problems they take an hour of your time to just transfer you and then the solution is simply to reboot or we have not heard of this problem.
I think this is great start by LG, may be a later version of this phone will address these fixes. They focus too much on smart features and completely forgot the primary purpose is after all a phone.
